Aurora opened her eyes to a dark room and a slight sweat over her skin. She furrowed her eyebrows as she tried to lift her body but was stopped by something heavy. Her eyes adjusted to the darkness before she looked down to see Jameer's durag covered head resting on her chest as he slept. His arm was around her waist, restricting her from moving. She reached out to grab her phone that was on his bedside table to check the time and after seeing it was 3:14am, she groaned before dropping it.

"Jameer." she called, tapping his arm. He didn't even budge.

She really didn't want to wake him because of the long day he had yesterday but she was sure a hot flash was coming her way if she didn't get some cool air on her body.

"Jameer, I gotta get up." she called again, louder this time and picking up his arm. He groaned at the movement waking him up and lifted his head on her chest.

"What's wrong, Ro?" he said, voice deeper than she'd ever heard it.

"I gotta take this hoodie off. Let me up." she told him. He leaned back on the bed so she could stand up out of it.

When she got to her suitcase, she rummaged around to find one of her tank tops. Once she found it, she slipped it on under the hoodie since she wasn't wearing a bra but he didn't need to know that. While she changed, Jameer was sleepily awaiting her return to the bed so he could go back to sleep.

"Ro, it dead don't take that long to change. Come on." he rushed her. She let out a laugh before slipping off the hoodie and throwing it on top of her open suitcase. She'd deal with the mess she made later in the morning because the rasp in Jameer's voice was making her wish she had Sonic hands.

She walked the few steps back to the bed and climbed in the open space Jameer created for her. His head immediately went back to her chest and his arm secured its place in hugging her waist.

"What time is it?" he mumbled against her grey tank top.

"3 in the morning." she said, finding one of her hands caressing the side of his face.

"Let that be your last time getting up at this hour." he told her. Aurora lightly tapped his cheek which made him pinch her waist.

"Please don't make me beat yo ass." she threatened. Jameer only nestled his head against her breasts to get more comfortable.

"Yeah, thought so." she muttered.

A loud yelp came from her lips as she felt a sharp sting on her thigh. Jameer had slapped her thigh in response to her thinking she got one over on him.

"Oh, hell no. Move, Jameer. You just pissed me off." she said, moving away from his body but feeling him pull her back against him.

"Ro, come on. I'm tryna go back to sleep." he begged, wanting her to stop moving.

"Fuck your sleep. Why you just hit my thigh like that?" she said, still trying to get out of his hold. Jameer sighed as he squeezed his eyes shut before opening them and looking up at her.

"Ro, I'm sorry. I won't do it again." he spoke, giving her what she wanted to hear. Aurora only looked at him before turning on her side and going to grab her phone. She pulled up TikTok and laid her head on the pillow.
