"Jameer, are you getting in the shower? Yes or no?" Aurora huffed for the third time.

"Rushing me is crazy. Nobody told you to sleep in." Jameer told her, looking at her in the mirror.

Aurora bit her lip to stop herself from cursing at him like she had been for the last 15 minutes. She rolled her eyes before shutting the door and going into the kitchen.

"Sleep in, my ass. It's 8:30." she grumbled.

They got back to her place last night and for the most part, she didn't let what happened with Anastasia ruin her emotions. They finished the current season of Power and talked about whatever came to mind until they fell asleep.

When she woke up, that was a completely different story. All she could think about was how disrespectful Anastasia had been and where it could've came from. It was bothering her greatly that someone she considered a friend just flipped the switch and she had no reason why.

"Aurora! You don't hear me calling you?" she heard Jameer yell before she saw him come around the corner.

"I didn't. Did you shower already?" she deadpanned.

Jameer narrowed his eyes at her before coming around the counter and placing his hands on each side of her. Aurora unfolded her arms and met his eyes.

"I know you not taking that attitude out on me."  he spoke.

"Jameer."

"Uh-uh. Why you been mean to me ever since you woke up? It better not be because of Anastasia." he rose an eyebrow. Aurora didn't answer and rolled her eyes.

"I already told you not to let that shit bother you. We ain't stuntin' that girl. All of your real friends back home in Florida. Do I need to fly them out here?" Jameer went off.

He was bothered by her being upset about last night. Anastasia was nobody to even think about and his girlfriend's mood had been down because of it. He wanted Aurora to understand that her energy doesn't need to go toward everything that comes to her.

"I just don't like being blindsided like that, especially with someone I called a friend." she sighed, resorting back to folding her arms.

"It just lets you know what type of person she was. Don't work yourself up over that. If you ask me, you're better off without her." he shrugged his shoulders.

Aurora narrowed her eyes at him before tilting her head. He had been staring at her and it wasn't until after she didn't change her expression, he kissed his teeth.

"I'm not even on that. I didn't care that she was your friend when you found out about our past and I definitely don't mind now that she isn't your friend. I'm not worried about anything that's not us." he spoke, kissing her cheek.

"Shouldn't you be leaving?" she switched topics.

"I got almost two hours before I have to be to work. You finna fix this attitude."

"I didn't have an attitude before you started talking. You see where I'm going?" she smiled, mockingly.

Jameer smirked before picking her up and putting her over his shoulder. Aurora immediately let out an annoyed groan but couldn't help but laugh.

"Put me down, jackass. Last time you did this, my stomach hurt for days because of your steroid jacked shoulder. I'm not about to play with you." she rolled her eyes.

"Stop trying me, Aurora. Ain't shit happen to you last time." he laughed, walking back towards her room.

"If you don't put me down, I'm about to give you a wedgie." she warned.
