thirty-one.

Tampa, Florida

Aurora dropped her duffle bag and ran up to her bestfriend who was already holding her arms out. Ximena's bump was in the way but they wrapped each other in a tight embrace, swaying one another.

"Bestieeee!!!" they both shouted.

Aurora was so happy to be back home and surrounded by all of her loved ones. She couldn't wait to see her parents who landed in an hour. Her flight from SF got to Florida at 10am so of course she was going to see her bestfriend first.

"You just sent me pictures of your belly the other day and it grew 3 times bigger. I swear if you're having twins or triplets." she told Ximena.

"Don't wish that on me, girl. Shut the hell up!" Ximena laughed.

Aurora grabbed her bag and followed Ximena into the living room. She was surprised to see Avery sitting on the floor with her dad next to her.

"And why is my godbaby not at school? Why is her father not at work?" she announced herself.

Avery turned around and screamed before running up to Aurora's legs. She was immediately picked up and swung in the air.

"My girl is looking so pretty. I missed you, Ave. Somebody's birthday is coming up soon." she said, leaving noisy kisses on her cheek.

"Bir.." Avery mumbled, trying to repeat what Aurora said.

"Birthday, baby Ave. You're turning three!" Ro smiled, watching her turn around to look at the TV.

"No, I'm twooo." she spun back around to look at her godmom.

"That's right, cutie. You're looking just like Mommy everytime I see you. Travis didn't do none of the work, I see." she joked, cutting her eyes to Travis.

"Aurora, don't come in here with all that lying." he said, without turning around.

Aurora laughed as she put Avery back down so she could run back to her dad. She turned to Ximena who was smiling at the entire reaction and grabbed her hand.

"How's my bestie?"

"I'm way better now. We just got off the phone with the wedding planner and we had to push back the wedding until after I pop this baby out. You will be my personal trainer as soon as they come out." Ximena pointed her finger at her.

"Girl, I can't even tell you the last time I worked out. Jameer keeps telling me I look sexy but I know my body. I need to stop playing." she spoke.

"Well, we'll save it for after the baby gets here. We decided we're not gonna know the gender until I give birth. Travis is so stuck on it being a boy but I'm gonna be happy regardless." she smiled, rubbing her belly.

"I'm so happy you're here. We're gonna have so much fun this weekend. Travis has a game in Buffalo so my hubby won't be here. I already cried twice." she pouted, walking over to sit behind Travis on the couch.

Aurora shook her head before following suit and sitting next to her friend. She pulled out her phone when she got another text from Jameer.
