"I'll be damned, Aurora!" Jackson laughed, watching Aurora climb the rocks with ease.
Aurora turned around to spot the entire Thompson family looking up at her in awe. They were all exhausted climbing the waterfall and they weren't even halfway yet while Aurora was on cloud nine.
"Y'all want to me wait?" she yelled, furrowing her eyebrows. If she was going too fast, she didn't wanna leave them too far behind.
"Uh, obviously!" Jameer said, throwing his hands up.
Aurora laughed as she sat on a rock that made water splash against her back as it ran down the rocks. She leaned back on her arms smiling while letting the sun shine on her skin.
It was day 3 of the vacation and Aurora couldn't believe how carefree she had become. The amazing food and the lively atmosphere of the towns and restaurants they'd been to had rubbed off on her greatly. She was just happy to be there.
It was also due in part to Jameer. The sex they had two days ago, it definitely shifted something between them and she could feel it. Her heart would race anytime they made eye contact, they were constantly touching each other, their smiles had gotten bigger towards each other. Maybe the sex made her realize she liked him but she definitely knew without a doubt, she liked Jameer.
"Miss thang, why are you so active?" Janine said as they all finally reached her. She smiled at the woman before being shoved by Jackson.
"Who told you this was a race? Why you showing off?" he huffed, putting his hands on his hip as he took deep breaths.
"Don't be pushing on me, lil boy. It's not my fault you're too slow." she joked. Jackson mugged her before deciding he was gonna get a head start on her and walked ahead.
"You trying to be the world's best athlete?" his dad joked as he walked past her.
"You need to be putting that stamina to use somewhere else, girl." Jameer said as he came to stand in front of her. She looked up at him smiling before wrapping her arms around his waist. They didn't care that it was hot as hell, they just couldn't keep their hands off each other.
"Have sex with the man one time and now, he can't talk about anything else." she teased.
"Yeah, speaking of that, when I get my round two?" he asked, kissing her forehead.
"God, y'all are gross." they heard Janet say as she walked around them. Aurora's eyebrows furrowed as she watched her walk ahead.
"That was a joke, by the way!" Janet shouted without turning around.
Aurora looked back at him in confusion before he shrugged his shoulders.
