It was a nice little casual restaurant that Y/n and Klaus went to lunch at. Not quite a cafe, but the environment was certainly not as stuffy and formal as any restaurant either were familiar with. Klaus had basically a large English breakfast, except instead of toast he had thick slices of waffles. A large glass of apple juice and a hot chocolate.

The two chatted, mainly Klaus sharing stories of what had happened since they left, filling them in on all of the major details, as well as sharing some of his stories from the years that followed leaving the Academy. Y/n shared a couple stories of other lives they had lived in various realities.

Eventually, the two decided to leave. Y/n paid the bill and the two walked back to the academy, still chatting.

"Where did you even get any money from?" Klaus had asked, "Last time I remember, we were all seventeen and none of us had jobs."

Y/n hesitated slightly before giving their answer, "Well, I can manipulate reality a little, can't I?"

"That was fake money?"

They shook their head and laughed a little, "No, it was real. Well, as real as any other money is. It's a fake concept. Nothing wrong with faking it a little more." They winked.

"Fucking hell. Can I have some?" He looked over at them pleadingly.

"You'd just spend it all on drugs." Ben rolled his eyes.

"Shut up." Klaus whispered under his breath.

Y/n scrunched up their nose, "No. Klaus, if you really needed food you would've just gone to the Academy and eaten something there. I don't support serious drug use."

Klaus sighed dramatically, placing a hand on his forehead, "Oh, you're so cruel!"

"Yeah, sure I am." They laughed.
