The plan was to rig it so Kinro gets to the top unscathed and put him against a worn-out Magma. But in order for this plan to move forward, they need to be in separate blocks.

But they were the very first match.

Amelie could only give a long sigh, "Man, I love my life. Never works with me just like everything else."

Time for an emergency meeting. The frustration was rolling off the team in waves.

"What can you do? A science user doesn't count on being lucky. You just do what you can, even if you're dealt the worse cards."

Everyone looked to Senku who was cackling with a deranged smile on his lips, he held up a bottle with an unknown substance, "A rigged Grand Bout is won by doping, with this Kingdom special science power-up drink!"

"This is why I pick names, Senku. That's way too long," Amelie snorts.

"That's another mighty suspicious drink," Kohaku stated warily, crossing her arms.

With a tilt of his head, Chrome questioned, "Does it have some kind of crazy drug in it?"

"Unfortunately... it's entirely safe," Amelie rolled her eyes.

"It's made from honey, tea leaves, and sweet flag. The caffeine's a stimulant, the sweet flag will keep you cool, and honey will jack your blood sugar through the roof," Senku explained.

Before anyone noticed, Ginro downed the whole drink and ate all the raw ingredients.

He was promptly smacked in the head by his brother when they had.

"Who said to drink all of it?!"

"We're all out?!"

"It's not like we're running a factory, here, Ginro," Amelie scoffed.

"What do you want me to do?! If you lose to Magma, I'm going to have to beat him!"

In disbelief, Chrome snatched the empty jar from Ginro, "He ate all the ingredients raw."

Senku turned to an empty container, amused, "Dude, he finished all the sweet flags."

Chrome perked up, "Is that the grass that's growing all over the river?"

Suika quickly volunteered to go get more, "I'll pick some! I may not be competing but I'll make myself useful!"

"Be careful, alright? Always keep a lookout for anything or anyone," Amelie advised with a murmur, patting the top of the melon, "Everything and anything can be dangerous."

She nods, tucking herself into her watermelon mask, "I will, I'll be very careful and useful!"

Suika bounced away to the river, and everyone was unaware of an eavesdropper in their midst...

Rhythmic drumming filled the air to signal the approaching start of the Grand Bout.

The Kingdom of Science spoke amongst themselves until a voice spoke up, running up to them, Mantle, one of the villagers who were on Magma's side.

He claimed that Suika fell into the river and was drowning after trying to pick herbs. He told Kohaku to go since she was the quickest.

But unfortunately for him, no person in this group was stupid.

"You're ten billion percent lying, obviously."

Shocked by their disbelief, he stammered, "I–I'm not lying. I just happened to pass by her at the river when I saw her."
