Chapter 1 The beginning

Garroth's POV
I was sleeping in my bed when my alarm clock went off I pushed the button to ignore it and went back to sleep until suddenly the door slammed open.

"Gar Garv wake up unless you want to be late for school again oh and by the way breakfast is downstairs." My mother said

"Yes mummy I'm getting up now." I said

I put on my uniform went to the bathroom and started to brush my hair and once I was done I brushed my teeth when I finished I saw Vlyad enter the bathroom brushing his hair.

"Morning baby brother." I said

"Morning also did you hear the news." Vlyad said

"What news?" I asked

"People have been mysteriously disappearing the only the police in the 20th ward were able find was traces or pools of blood." Vlyad said

"Damn you really do like watching the news don't you." Said Zane who just now walked in the bathroom in his my little horsies pajamas

"You know I overheard that the source of all these disappearances are the bloodthirsty and bloodlust vampires." Zane said

"Oh yeah the vampire theory it's all over the media." Vlyad replied

"Theory what theory?" I asked

"The theory is that vampires have actually existed and has been living along side humanity in disguise for years and that this year the blood moon is happening vampires are comfortable out of their hiding spots and killing people and drinking their blood" Vlyad said

"Please vampires are not real it must be some sort of illusion by Magicks user besides if vampires were really real then shouldn't they leave behind their corpses." I said

"That's not how it works." Zane said

"It's fine we can talk about this later come on let's go eat breakfast I heard that mom is making rice with miso soup and ohitashi." Vlyad said

The three of us went downstairs to eat but the vampire theory just couldn't leave my mind I mean obviously vampires are not real so why do I feel scared for some reason. The three of us all sat down at the table where our dad was sitting reading a newspaper and my mom was cleaning the dishes.

"Hmm apparently people are evacuating the 20th and 19th ward due to some sort of fight happening." Dad said

"It's obviously vampires the government and guardian forces are just trying to hide all this bullshit so people won't go against the council." Vlyad said

"Vlyad we don't use that type of language here!" My mom said as she threatened to hit Vlyad with the pan.

"Oh and by the way Garroth we need to talk about future plans about you taking over my company and how your going to manage things." My dad said

"Do I have to I mean can't you get someone else to take over the company?" I asked

"It's tradition that we pass our family business to the oldest so why wouldn't you want to run it?" He asked

"No reason at all." I said

"Good also your friend Blake is waiting for you outside so finish up and Zane put on your school uniform." My dad said

"By the way my friend's name is Blaze." I replied

I got my stuff and went outside my friend Blaze was waiting for me and was wearing a black hoodie like usual.

"Hey Blaze sorry I'm a little late." I said

"Don't sweat it bro by the way I overheard that teachers are rescheduling tests so we don't have to worry." Blaze said. We started walking to school which was 12 minutes away from my house and we were chatting for a while.
