Garroth's POV
After the last class was over I started walking back to my house since Zane had detention and Vlyad had chess club. As I was walking down the streets I saw Blaze walking up towards me.
"Hey Blaze what happened at the principals office?" I asked
"Oh we were both let go with a warning that if we do it again and it's worse we get detention for a month." He said
"Oh well normally I would ask you to come over at my house but I'm going to be hanging out with Laurence later." I said
"Garroth look to be honest I don't trust Laurence I heard a lot of bad stuff about him not to mention he's the school heartthrob and casanova. How about you just drop this and we go to your house." Blaze said
"Look Blaze it's okay if your jealous I completely understand but that doesn't mean you tell me that Laurence is not a good person just to spend time with me." I said disappointed
"What I'm not jealous it's just you know what you do what but don't say I didn't warn you." Blaze said annoyed he stared walking back towards where he lives
"Blaze wait, nevermind then." I said to myself. I got to my house and started getting ready I put on a white shirt, a light blue no zipper sweater, blue pants, and white and blue shoes on. I got into my car and started driving to the February Cafe one of the best in Tokyo. When I got their I saw Laurence on his phone waiting until he looked up and saw me.
"Hey Garroth glad you can make it." Laurence said
"Yeah luckily I finished my homework before I came here." I said
We both walked in and got a table near the window it was almost night so the sun was setting.
"I think I'm just going to get a Tamago Sando (Japanese egg sandwich) what about you Laurence?" I asked
"Oh well you see I'm on a diet right now so I don't feel like getting anything but maybe a coffee." Laurence said. After I went to the counter and ordered I came back to the table.
"So did you always lived here in the 11th ward?" Laurence asked
"Yeah I grew up here my dad is actually from England but you'll be surprised when you hear how he sounds like someone from America." I said
"What about you?" I asked
"Well I used to live Kyoto but then I had to move here it's been a very long time since I've been back there." Laurence said. Just then I saw him pull out a book and realized that was one of my favorite books.
"No way you also read..."
"Yep I read The Girl with the White Flag I also read The Tale of Genji." Laurence said
"I remember I used to love reading those books I also read lots of Mangas and watch anime my favorites are Demon slayer and Tokyo Revengers." I said
"Nice I also watch Demon slayer I also watch Tokyo ghoul, My hero Academia and I just started watching Attack on Titan." He said
"Well do you think Tokyo ghoul anime or Manga is better?" I asked
"Definitely the anime." Laurence replied
"What how the Mangas were way better the creators messed up many parts in the show. I'm telling you they should probably reboot the series and work on it more." I said
"Wow I can't believe that you support that nonsense I'm offended." Laurence said jokingly
We chat about for half an hour about our home life, our favorite stuff and all that other teenage things.
