Chapter 22 The foreign exchange student

Dante's POV
I was getting ready as so was Aaron since he was once again walking me to school.

"Dante hurry up your going to be late for school." Aaron said

"I'm coming." I said shoving my science book into my bookbag. I headed downstairs with Aaron as we went outside of the school and started walking to school.

"What day is your science fair?" Aaron asked

"In two days by the way did Travis get back to you about if he's able to help me with my costume for the contest?" I asked

"He said that he's going to be very busy that day but I'll see what I can do." Aaron said

"Oh okay." I said looking down a bit upset. After a few minutes of walking we finally reached the school I waved goodbye and I entered it going through the metal detector and headed to my locker storing my stuff in it and I saw one of my friend's Gemma. She had gold hair, green eyes, and lightly brown skin. She was the daughter of a jujutsu scorcer meaning she was one so she was the only one who knew my secret that I was a vampire.

"Hey Dante." She said waving at me.

"Hello are we meeting after school today for cult club because Rin found an old artifact that could help prove that our school is haunted." I said

"Hopefully it's not something from the Jujutsu community because we have to keep a low cover but either way I'm able to come." She replied

"Perfect also we better hurry before were late to class" I said as we headed to first period which was science class my least favorite one. We headed there and everyone was sitting down and the teacher came in.

"Morning students please take out your textbooks and let's review page 18." Ms. Yuki said. I took it out and opened to that specific page as she began to write a few questions on the board about physical and chemical changes. I was really good at science but I found the class boring since we never did any cool or dangerous experiments like other classes and Ms. Yuki was always yelling and giving a lot of homework.

"Pssst." I heard someone say it was Rin but I ignored him writing down the questions in my notebook and copying it down.

"Pssst Dante." He said again he kept doing it until I got annoyed and turned around.

"What do you want now?" I asked in a whisper

"Well it's about the club apparently a new foreign exchange student from one the USA is joining." Rin said

"What we don't even know the person who invited him or her?" I asked

"I don't know why but the club leader said we need more members." Rin replied.

"But we don't even know English" I said panicked

(Quick note the reason the book's in English is so the readers can understand like a Manga but in the story the characters are technically speaking Japanese but the book is translated in English)

"Dante, Rin would you like to share your important conversation to the class?" Ms. Yuki asked

"No ma'am me and Rin were just discussing stuff about chemistry." I said

"Well do you know what the difference between a physical and chemical change is?" Ms. Yuki asked

"A physical change is when the form of a substance can't change it's look and a chemical change is when a substance can change or cause one or two new substances." I said

"Very good remember your on the top 5 in my science list not number 300 unless you want to be." She said after a long time of science I had study hall next so I figured I can finish up my geometry homework and then get a head start on science. As me, Rin and Gemma were walking our club leader Haru immediately stopped us.
