"Please welcome to the stage, performing her new single, Alina Verstappen!"

The audience burst into applause as the lights shone down on Alina and she came into view. The blonde was wearing a beautiful red dress with a high slit with her hair left down and curled with red heels. The blonde had a beautiful red lip as she had a smile on her face.

"Grew up in the same house," the blonde sang with a smile, "so I know why you lash out. Oh, I understand you, more than you think I do."

Behind her on the screen came old videos of Alina and Max when they were kids.

"Cracks in the windows, castles in pillows," the blonde sang, a smile on her face, "and all of the places I built us to hide.

Alina looked around the audience, smiling as they all looked mesmerised with her.

"I always left you out," the blonde sang, "you still love me somehow. You just wanted a friend, didn't know it then, now I do. Our youth down the drain, and I take all of the blame for all of the countless times that you cried."

As Alina took a breath, she looked around the room and her blue eyes landed on the one person she wanted to see. Max was standing at the back of the room, a wide grin on his face.

"Just two kids caught in the crossfire," the blonde sang, looking at her brother as the videos carried on playing behind her. "Close your eyes, I know you're so tired. Just kids, you and I, I know it's hard sometimes. But you'll be alright, and we'll be alright."

Her blue eyes began watering as she smiled at her brother.

"All that's unspoken, all the years that were stolen," the blonde sang, "you were still in that house, I shouldn't have left you behind. And I fall to pieces, sometimes, all that you need is a shoulder to cry, and I'm lucky that you're mine."

The entire room went silent as Alina's powerful voice echoed around the room.

"Just two kids caught in the crossfire," the blonde sang, looking at her brother as the videos carried on playing behind her. "Close your eyes, I know you're so tired. Just kids, you and I, I know it's hard sometimes. But you'll be alright, and we'll be alright."

Alina smiled at Max as she saw him wiping his eyes.

"Oh-ooh-oh-ooh-oh," she harmonised, "oh-ooh-oh-ooh-oh. We'll never change what time fades, oh ooh."

Max looked away from his sister and saw the vidoes behind of them. At that moment, a video of four year old Alina cheering for her brother as he was in his go karts. Max smiled as he watched that video.

"Just two kids caught in the crossfire," the blonde sang, looking at her brother as the videos carried on playing behind her. "Close your eyes, I know you're so tired. Just kids, you and I, and I know it's hard sometimes. But you'll be alright, and we'll be alright."

The audience screamed in cheers and applause as the young girl smiled and looked around, a grin on her face as she looked at MAx who was proudly cheering.
