When Will It Be Us?

Chapter Two

Ash POV

We are currently here in cafeteria after our first subject para kumain alangan naman tumingin lang kami dito and will just let ourselves drool, diba?

Yes! You heard it right. We. I am here with this two classmates of mine. Yung katabi ko sa left na girl and right na boy to be exact.

While our professor was discussing kanina, the girl beside me approached and introduce herself, she even said na sabay daw kami pumunta dito sa cafeteria after ng first subject kasi di daw sya nakapag breakfast. Eh, who am I diba na tanggihan sya eh di rin naman ako nakapag breakfast. Kaya eto, we're here in the cafeteria with this boy.

If you're wondering why we are with this boy it is because he also approached me only minutes after the girl introduced herself. I thought pa nga na masungit tong lalaki na toh eh opposite naman pala.

"Hey, Ash. What are you thinking bakit ang tahimik mo diyan?" Snow said. Yes, Snow ang name nung girl na kasama ko na ngayon.

"Nothing." I just said.

"Woy Snow ang ingay ingay mo naman. It's too early pa oh. Can you please lower your voice and reduce being madaldal." Jay said. Oo, Jay ang name nung boy.

"Eto naman. Ba't ba ang sungit mo ngayon?" Snow said while looking at Jay intently.

"Nah, I'm not masungit. You're just noisy and people here around cafeteria are looking at us. It is embarrassing that's why I'm stopping you." Rebut naman ni Jay.

I think, they're already friends since before, kasi kung makapag usap sila parang antagal na nilang magka kilala eh. Matanong nga. Syempre I'll ask, I don't like to assume pa naman and it's hard to control my curiosity noh.

"Can I ask something?" I uttered with a slight shyness in my tone but I'm looking at them.

"Of course, we're friends naman na, diba?" Snow replied. While Jay just nodded.

"Ah..eh.." I said with a bit hesitant. Syempre I'm shy pa ng slight kasi kanina ko lang sila na meet eh.

"Oh, com'on Ash. Just spit it. Don't be shy." Snow said while chuckling a bit.

"Okay. Uhm, are you already friends before? Because as what I observed you're talking like you already knew each other?" I asked whitout shyness na.

"Yes, we already knew each other since grade school, grade three to be exact." Jay replied like he is disappointed while Snow just smile at me when Jay said those words.

"Oh, why you sound disappointed tho?" I asked Jay.

"Eh kasi naman, ilang years ko na yan tinitiis ang bunganga niya na napaka ingay." Sabi nya at na tawa ng konti. Snow was shocked by the sudden confession of Jay while putting her hand on her heart side. Natawa na lang din ako on what Jay have said at sinamahan pa ng reaction ni Snow kaya mas lalong na tawa ako.

"Wow! You're laughing na Ash ha. I like it." Snow said with a big smile while clapping her hands. "Smile smile ka naman. You look more prettier when you smile naman pala eh." Sabi ni Snow.

We started eating na kasi 30 minutes lng yung vacant namin. 10 minutes pa ang na bawas na sa aming break time kasi ang laki ba naman ng school at medyo malayo-layo ng kaunti sa building namin. Kaya we just eat our meals quick as we can.

After we ate, we just hurriedly walk pa puntang next subject namin sa 3rd floor, it is a minor subject lang naman which is Understandig the Self.

Mabilis lang na tapos ang discussion ni ma'am but she gave us an assessment task. Minutes later, I passed my paper kasi tapos na ako. I look around and it looks like no one finished yet except to me. Even my friends are not done yet. Yes my friends. I considered them as my friends na.

We are now in the restaurant infront of the University. Snow suggested na dito na lang daw kami kumain. Me and Jay just agreed to it kasi wala na kaming nagawa, ikaw ba naman ang kaladkarin ni Snow. Our ordered foods just arrived and exactly the same time, the door of the restaurant opened. And there, we saw a group of girls na pumasok while laughing and looks like they're talking about something hilarious.

"Hey, Ash. You might be wondering who they are." Snow said while looking at me and slightly glance the group of girls before bumalik sa akin ang tingin niya.

"For you to be informed. They are very popular in our University especially that girl with a slight wavy hair. She's the only daughter of the owner of the University and soon to be the owner." I took a quick glance in the table beside ours. Yes, beside ours. I didn't even notice na naka upo na pala sila dyan.

"Also, she's named the Campus Queen. Payo ko lang sayo Ash wag kang magkakaroon ng contact sa kanila. They are so maldita especially the Campus Queen Yza." Dagdag naman ni Jay sa sinabi ni Snow.

I got nervous a bit but I just shrugged my shoulders and look away.

As we are eating, we just talk about random things like getting to know each other and some school stuffs. They already knew that I'm rich but I told them to just treat me like they knew nothing about my family's background.

Syempre ayaw ko naman magkaroon ng friends just because of my family's background noh. I want friends. Real friends to be exact. Mayaman din naman sila pero yun nga lang di kasing yaman namin. But it's not an issue tho and it will never be an issue sa aming tatlo.

We just continue to chitchat random stuffs while laughing, smiling and even teasing each other. I'm lucky having them kasi biruin mo, this is just the first half day na mag kasama kaming tatlo but looks like we're friends from the long time na. They always made me feel na I belong to them, like they knew me before na, and makes me feel comfortable to them.

Syempre, while we're talking here we can also hear the laughs and teasing voices of the girls beside our table. We just ignored it kasi may sarili naman kaming topic noh and we're not marites kaya.

We just finish our foods and decided to go in the library to sleep for a bit before our next class. But when we start standing, we can feel that someone is staring at us kaya nagka tinginan kaming tatlo bago kami tumingin sa paligid. But we saw no one naman kaya I got goosebumps I don't know to my friends if the felt goosebumps too. We are 'bout to leave and just ignored it like nothing happened.
