Wei Wuxian couldn't think of anything when Jiang Wanyin, his brother asks his hand for marriage.

"Ahaha! Cheng-cheng! What a great joke this i—"

"I'm serious..." Jiang Wanyin replied, "I want... To marry you..."

Wei Wuxian's eyes soften at his brother's declaration. He knew the Jin's are pressuring the Jiangs for a marriage with him and by all means, he doesn't want to come to a corner where they had to force a fake marriage between him and his brother.

"Cheng-cheng I—"

"I like you... Ever since before..." Jiang Wanyin, "I maybe younger, and definitely I know you thought of me as a brother... But I... From the start... I like you..."

Wei Wuxian stilled, his eyes watering.

Wei Wuxian had his eyes shed for tears. His eyes closed as he remembered the pain.

The beginning and the decline of love are both marked by the embarrassment the lovers feel to be alone together.

Everyone paused when he answered them.

Wei Wuxian was sitting by the docks. He had been thinking about his brother's proposal. The black rabbit by his side was a great companion. He later then felt his son's presence beside him.

No one speak between them. They enjoyed the sweet silence eating lotus seed and enjoying a merry afternoon.

"You should accept uncle Cheng's proposal.." Jiang Yuan smiled, "you need to be happy A-Niang... Uncle Cheng accepted you of who you are..."

"Wouldn't it bother you? I know yo—"
