The black omega wolf was allotted a spot not far from the majestic white alpha. At first a rusty red wolf had charged at him and snapped his jaws warning him to move to the back of the pack, but the alpha sent a low growl its way. The red omega backed away with a whimper and went to stand behind a dark grey wolf with lavender eyes who stared intently at him before leading the rusty wolf away. A white wolf with grey markings on its ears and along his back looked at him curiously before following the dark grey wolf. A smaller dark brown omega jumped around him and yipped happily until the dark grey wolf barked sternly. The young wolf huffed and lowered his head and fell into his place behind the rest of the omega wolves, while the black wolf watched with amusement in his eyes.

Silently, the alpha led them through the forest. A light grey beta along with a tawny brown one trotted close behind the alpha and completed the Gusu pack.  Both wolves were larger than the omegas but smaller than their leader.  Alongside the Gusu pack stood the golden-haired alpha and smaller Jin beta. The golden-haired Jin alpha, although large still only came up to the shoulder of the white alpha wolf.

As they entered further into the forest, the white wolf slowed and crouched low, inching forward slowly. The black wolf inhaled and picked up a multitude of scents from up ahead. There was the damp smell of water, and a musky scent along with pungent sour undertones, but the most prominent scent of all was the sweet smell of meat. A herd of elk must have stopped for a drink of water. The wolves crept closer, slowly fanning out in a wide half-circle to surround their prey.

A snap of a twig had everyone freeze in their spots. The white alpha glanced back at the young dark brown omega who lowered his head in guilt and embarrassment. Through the bushes they could see the elks were on alert, poised to bolt.

He could see the white alpha rear back and prepare himself to launch forward. Powerful muscles bunched and shifted. The wolves sprang from the bushes and the hooves of the elk thundered as they scrambled to vacate the area. They fled in a line, the smaller and weaker elk left behind and brought down by the sharp claws and jaws of the omegas. The white wolf continued to chase and the black omega could see his aim was the large stag at the head of the herd. He continued following the white alpha while snapping his jaws at the elk running beside him causing them to veer away and into the jaws of the two golden haired Jin wolves.

Most of the herd had fallen prey to the wolves, but a remaining few bolted out of the trees to the open fields, including the large stag the white alpha was chasing. In the Baoshan sect, the black wolf was known for his speed and agility. The black omega's muscles bunched and stretched as he ran, his eyes trained on the stag and white alpha in front of him. His powerful paws launched him forward to the point where he felt like he was barely touching the ground and flying across the plains. He was so determined to keep up with the white wolf that he almost didn't see the two Gusu beta wolves peel away to take down an elk. With each step he edged closer to the back legs of the stag. The white alpha was running beside the large elk, waiting for the right opportunity to lunge in for the clean kill.

He ignored the dust and dirt spewing up from the hooves of the elk and snapped his jaws at its back leg, grazing it enough to cause the elk to stumble. It was at that moment the white wolf lunged, large jaws closing with accurate severity around the elk's throat and with one jerk of his head, he tore out the stag's throat. The omega danced out of the way as the large stag collapsed onto its side.

The white wolf raised his snout and howled in triumph. The alpha's howls were answered by those of his pack echoing their triumph. The black omega let out a joyous howl of his own and then jumped happily around the alpha, occasionally nudging the alpha with his snout. The alpha sat regally beside his kill ignoring the omega's attempts to engage him in play.
