ONE. after

"CONRAD!" OLIVIA Lovell shouted, a laugh escaping the young seventeen-year-old as Conrad Fisher picked the girl up by her waist and practically body slamming her into her own pool.

It had been a few weeks since the Deb Ball. It had been a few weeks since Olivia and Jeremiah had patched up some form of friendship. It had been a few weeks since Conrad had asked Olivia out on a proper date.

It had been a few weeks since everyone found out the Susannah Fisher's cancer had returned.

And Olivia tried her best to bring comfort to both Fisher boys through a time like this. She couldn't and hopefully wouldn't ever understand what they were going through, but she was there for them as much as she possibly could.

And for now, she was with Conrad, wrestling him in the pool until he grabbed her leg from underneath the water.

Olivia still held her guard up when she was with Conrad and he knew that. She had been cheated on twice and Jeremiah held eyes for Isabel "Belly" Conklin all summer long while being with a girl who he claimed to love.

Was it wrong for Olivia to move on so quickly? Was it wrong for her to date her ex-boyfriend's brother? Was it wrong for Olivia to believe that she could just be loved?

She didn't want to push a relationship right now... not anything further with Conrad that is. Yes, you could consider the duo to be dating and yes, you could consider the duo to be more than just friends with benefits, but Conrad knew that he was going through something major that will change the trajectory of his life and Olivia... well, not as major, quick frankly minuscule compared to the Fisher situation, she was also going through her own thing.

So, Olivia and Conrad were going to take things slow and private.

Private.

Meaning, not telling Susannah, Belly, Taylor Jewel, Steven Conklin, Melody Mason, or Jeremiah. Absolutely no one knew that Conrad and Olivia were a thing until Olivia felt ready to do so.

Telling Jeremiah would be a pain in her ass, but maybe he deserved to be hurt. Maybe he deserved to feel the same way Olivia had when he'd gone and kissed Belly that night in the pool.

But she didn't want to make him feel bad right now. Not at a time like this.

For now, she would try her absolute best to comfort the Fisher bother while she was in town.

And the boy she had been comforting today just so happened to be her boyfriend.

Conrad had a grip on Olivia's leg as she try to free herself from his grasp.

His hands slowly began climbing up her leg, making their way to her thighs before placing his hands onto her hips.

She given him a small smile underneath the water before pushing herself way and up for air.

She made her way towards the pools edge and moving her wet hair from her face.

Conrad soon followed up, his bare, wet chest, pressed against Olivia's back. He lowered his head, pressing wet kisses against her wet shoulder.

She began squirming under his touch and the more she moved, the wider Conrad's smile grew as he continued (and sometimes missing) to kiss Olivia's shoulder.

She finally turned around and faced him. She gave him a small smile as she scrunched her nose.

Conrad carefully took the glasses off of her face and placed them on the of his head.

The two of them didn't have to speak.

They had each other and that's what worked.

It's what always worked.

But maybe it was a dream. Maybe it was a vision that Olivia had planned for herself.

Maybe after Jeremiah she wanted to be set free.

But before she could do any of that, she needed to face the aftermath called life.
