My worries of our progress being impaired by Mezurin's injury, as well as my practical inability to work effectively without his company, have become true. With his impairment, he's only been able to work near the camp, and I can hardly go more than a ways away from it before I grow concerned for him and head back. Things seem to be becoming more unsettling here by the second as well. While returning to our camp after gathering food, I came across a trail of blood leading deeper into the forest. The one time I wished for my curiosity to get the better of me, it had gone dormant, and I headed back to camp. I will tell Mezurin of the incident when he wakes. If it is in his interest to investigate further, I will help him to follow it and find whatever or whoever left it. I just hope he'll tell me if he needs to turn around.
