Part 35

Jughead- You guys are so loud, what is goin......B-Betty?!

Betty- H-Hey... (softly)

She released Fp and began to walk over to him, but as soon as he was out of his trance, he ran at her. Picking her up into his arms while he kissed her as hard as he could. They continued to kiss like nobody was there, but suddenly Riley turned to looked and yelled:

Riley- Mommy! What are you doing with Juggie?!

The two of them instantly turned bright red before he placed her back down on the ground. But he didn't let her go, he kept his arms wrapped around her the whole time. They walked over to her and Betty pulled her into her arms before saying:

Betty- Kissing him, because I love him...which is why I'm going to kiss you now!

Betty began attacking her daughter's face with kisses, making the little girl laugh, but as soon as she stopped, Jughead pulled Riley into his arms.

Riley- Hi Juggie!

Jughead- (let's out a deep breath) Hi baby girl.

He hugged the little girl tightly and kissed her cheek a few times before handing her back to Betty...then he wrapped his arms around the both of them, pulling Betty as close as possible.

Jughead- I missed you so much. (whispers)

Betty- I missed you too. (whispers)

Ben- Okay, you need to tell us everything about the past three years...and also why Cheryl and Toni brought you here.

Caleb- Yeah, we need to know everything.

Betty- Okay, okay, let's go sit down.

They all sat down in the living room, even Cheryl and Toni while Betty once again went through everything that had happened since the moment she had left three years ago. But as soon as she was done, Jughead pulled her in closer.

Jughead- I'm not letting him get anywhere near you. (softly)

~Two weeks later~

It took a few days, but Betty and Riley were finally comfortable back home again. And even though Hal was still out there, the two girls had everyone keeping them safe. From Fp who was the sheriff of Riverdale, and Betty's two brothers who were always checking up on her, and Cheryl and Toni who called every hour (literally), and to Jughead who never took an eye off of the two of them.

It was almost lunch time on a quiet Sunday afternoon while Betty and Jughead were laying on the couch together watching Riley playing with her toys on the floor. Betty was in Jughead's arm, lying on his chest, when suddenly Betty's stomach began to rumble.

Jughead- Do you want me to start making some lunch?

Betty- Actually, can we go to Pop's? I've been in the mood for a burger the last few days.

Jughead- Of course, you know I can never turn down Pop's.

She smiled and stood up, pulling him up with her before looking down at Riley.

Betty- Come on, baby, we're going to go get some lunch.

Riley- Where?

Betty- Pops!

Riley- (gasps) Can I get a milkshake?! Please, mommy?!

Betty- (giggles) Yes, but you'll have to share.

Riley- I will, I promise.

Betty smiled and kissed her daughter's cheek as they walked over to the front of the house and put their shoes on, then they went to Pop's. They had a nice lunch together, just the three of them, enjoying burgers, fries and milkshakes. But after a little while of eating and hanging out in Pops, they decided to head back home. They began walking out of the diner when suddenly Jughead's phone started ringing.

Jughead- Hold on, I'm going to run to the back to take this...are you okay with waiting a sec?

Betty- Take your time, but if it's okay, I think we might start walking back slowly. Riley is exhausted.

Jughead- Yeah, go ahead, I'll catch up with you in a minute.

She nodded and kissed his cheek before walking out with her daughter in her arms. They made it about halfway when she felt arms wrap around her waist...she thought it was Jughead but quickly realized it wasn't.

Betty- N-No... (tears)

Hal- Hi Elizabeth.

She tried to get out from his grasp but he was holding her extremely tightly.

Riley- Mommy... (nervously)

Betty- I've got you baby, just hold onto me. (cries)

She held onto her daughter tightly with one arm while she used her other to try to pull his arm away, but as she was looking down, she saw the knife that he was holding against her daughter.

Hal- Come with me or I'll stab her right here, right now.

Betty- O-Okay, okay, I'll come w-with you...j-just don't hurt her, p-please. (cries)

She walked with him down the street and into an alley where he shoved her to the ground. Then suddenly, everything went black.

Jughead had arrived home, surprised that Betty and Riley had beat him, especially since he only left a few minutes after them.

Jughead- Betty?

He didn't hear anyone so he walked upstairs and went to their bedroom but no one was there either.

Jughead- Riley?

When he didn't get a response he pulled his phone out of his pocket to check her location...but it came up as: "no location detected". His heart began to race, not knowing where his girlfriend and Riley were, but before he jumped to any conclusions he tried calling her. He called her almost 10 times, but every single time it went straight to voicemail.

Jughead- F-Fuck... (tears)

He ran back downstairs and went to the basement where he knew Ben would be, and even though the 25 year old was asleep, Jughead shook him awake before pacing back and forth.

Ben- What's going on? (mumbles)

Jughead- B-Betty and Riley, they're gone. (tears)

Ben- W-What? (softly)

Ben sat up quickly in his bed and wiped a hand over his face before looking at Jughead.

Jughead- We went to Pops for lunch but as we were leaving I got a phone call, and I had to take it, so Betty and Riley started walking ahead of me. I only left a few minutes after them, but when I got home they weren't here and her phone isn't working...something's wrong. (tears)

Ben- Shit...where's Caleb?

Jughead- He's at work, we're the only ones home right now. (tears)

Ben- O-Okay, just call your dad and tell him everything that happened, he can get some deputies to start looking. But if that doesn't work, I know someone else we can call.
