Beidou stood at the foot of the towering Jade Chamber, her eyes tracing its magnificent height. Her heart raced with a mixture of excitement and trepidation. As a seasoned sailor, heights had never been her forte, and the prospect of ascending such a monumental structure sent shivers down her spine.
Ningguang, observant as ever, noticed the subtle flicker of fear in Beidou's eyes. She stepped closer, her hand reaching out to gently grasp Beidou's. "Are you okay, my love?" she asked, her voice filled with concern.
Beidou took a deep breath, her grip on Ningguang's hand tightening. "To be honest, Ningguang, heights make me uneasy."
Ningguang's eyes softened, a mixture of surprise and tenderness in her gaze. "Oh, Beidou, I had no idea. This is surprising, you've faced the vastness of the sea fearlessly, yet heights daunt you?"
"I know...It's stupid."
"I never said it was stupid Beidou...you don't have to face this alone. I'm here for you."
Hand in hand they stepped onto the small jade platform, and they began the ascent. Beidou's anxiety ebbed away, replaced by the unwavering support she felt radiating from Ningguang.
As they climbed higher, the view expanded before them, revealing a breathtaking panorama.
"Don't look down, Don't look down, Don't look down. Just one peek?"
Beidou couldn't help but glance down, "Shit! That's high!"
her heart skipped a beat. She squeezed Ningguang's hand tighter, her voice tinged with unease. "Ningguang, it's much higher than I imagined."
Ningguang's voice held a comforting reassurance. "Focus on me, Beidou. Look into my eyes."
As they neared the entrance to the Jade Chamber, Beidou's heart raced with a mix of anticipation and nervousness. She paused for a moment, her fingers tightening around Ningguang's.
Ningguang turned to face Beidou, her voice filled with unwavering support. "Beidou, I believe in you. Just one step then we're on the ground."
Beidou nodded, her voice filled with gratitude and determination. "Thank you, Ningguang... I'm ready."
Hand in hand, they crossed the threshold into the Jade Chamber, the opulent surroundings enveloping them. Beidou's gaze shifted from the daunting height to the intricate beauty surrounding her. She marveled at the craftsmanship and design, her fear slowly transforming into awe.
Ningguang squeezed Beidou's hand, a proud smile on her lips. "Look at how far you've come, Beidou. you've faced your fear head-on, and you've conquered it with such bravery." Ningguang rustled Beidou's head, softly teasing her.
As they explored the chambers together, Beidou's confidence grew. With each step she took, she felt the comfort of Ningguang's presence, reminding her that they were in this together.
As they prepared to descend, Beidou turned to Ningguang, her voice filled with love and gratitude. "Thank you for believing in me, for holding my hand through my fear."
