Vandita's pov

I was lost in the peaceful beauty of the night sky. Tonight, the sky felt different — more magical, almost like it knew my life was about to change. A new journey was starting, and while I felt excited, a part of me was also nervous.

As I stood there, thinking quietly, a soft hand touched my shoulder. my heart suddenly racing. I turned around quickly, and the calmness of the moment disappeared in an instant.

Ranvijay stood in front of me. The moonlight fell gently on his face, giving it a soft silver glow. For a moment, he looked like someone from a dream. There was a calm in his eyes and a quiet warmth around him that made me feel safe, even though I had just been startled.

He looked at me with care, his eyes gently searching mine. That look alone helped slow down my fast heartbeat. "Got startled?.. I didn't mean to. sorry" he said in a soft voice, full of warmth.

I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself.
"It's alright" I said, my voice a little steadier now. "I was just lost in my thoughts, that's all."

He followed my gaze towards the night sky, his eyes catching the starlight with a quiet glow.
"It really is beautiful... just like you" he said softly, his voice thoughtful.

I nodded at first, but then paused, My cheeks warmed as I realized what he had just said.

He smiled gently, noticing my blush, and gave a small shake of his head, as if amused by my reaction but not taking back a word.

"I didn't want to disturb you, but Maa sa sent food for both of us" he said softly, brushing his thumb gently across my right cheek. I felt a warm blush spread across my face at his touch and words.

"I'm sorry, I didn't notice you entering the chamber" I said quickly, feeling a little shy.

He shook his head and smiled gently.
"No problem at all" he said, then reached out and took my wrist softly.

I looked up at him, and he smiled warmly. I smiled back, and he said, "Come, let's eat something. You must be hungry" he said with a smile.

I nodded and walked with him towards the couch.

The food was already set on the table. He helped me sit down on the couch, then sat beside me.

"Hukum, let me feed you" I said, shyness taking all over me. I never behaved shyly in my entire life, but I don't know why I can't control my emotions in front of him.

He smiled and said, "You can just call me by my name. No need for Hukum"

"How can I?" I replied with a playful smile.

"Just like the way I say your name — from your mouth" he said softly.

I felt a little embarrassed for asking such a silly question.

He laughed and said, "Feel free and comfortable around me. You don't have to be so formal with me. Come on, we are life partners and equals. It's my wish that you call me by my name."

"I know... it's just that I don't know what's happening to me....." I whispered.

"Don't think too much. Just enjoy the moment" he replied.

Our eyes met, and a sudden blush spread across my cheeks.

I nodded.

He tore a piece of chapati and held it gently in front of my mouth, looking into my eyes.
"Let me feed you first. You can feed me later" he said with a gentle smile.
