As we stood together in the warm, intimate space of our hut, the weight of our shared emotions slowly lifted, replaced by a comforting sense of peace. I looked at Vandita, my heart full of affection, and suggested with a playful tone, "Chaliye snaan kar lete hain phir khana khayenge." (Let's take a bath and then we will eat some food)With a gentle, loving smile, I lifted her into my arms, her body settling comfortably against mine.
