The sirens are still going off, and I have tried calling mom nine times but she's still not answering. I hope she's ok. Dad and Riku are they ok? I managed to get off school property. But as soon as I did what I saw was terrifying. Police cars lined up, firetrucks trying to get people out from under crushed buildings, and familys scared and trying to leave. I decided to run home. I couldn't belive this was hapening. The damage being caused was causeing people to lose their familys. When I got to my neighborhood it was quiet. I could only hear the faint sounds of sirens in the distance. As I looked around I only saw some people packing things into their cars and leaving. I get to my house and run in to see mom bandaging up Riku's arm. Mom, what's happening? Your brother was putting away dishes when the earthquake happend. Then a plate fell and cut his arm. Did you stop the bleeding? Just for now, but he'll need stiches. Mom, where's dad? I don't know. He went to work this morning and I've been trying to call him but he isn't answering. Mom, we don't have time to go to the hospital. It's probaely busy because of the earthquake. Mom your a doctor, can't you stitch it up. Mom grabed the first aid kit and stitched up Riku's wound. Dad came in and told us to pack what we need. I asked him why and he said: That earthquake was not the last. The next one will be even bigger so we need to leave now. Me and Riku ran to our room to get what we needed. Mom did the same. As we get outside my dad comes to the front and says: We need to leave the island as soon as possible. All of the others agree. Then hear a buzzing sound. Some people pull out their phones and so did I. It's another warning, I play the video out loud:
This is not a drill! The island of Okinawa is starting to sink. I advise everyone to evacuate Okinawa as soon as possible. There are several boats ready for those leaving the island. We predict the next earthquake will hit around 10 o'clock tonight!
When the message was over I checked the time, it was 7:45 which meant we only had two hours left before the next earthquake. My dad recmmended that we go north because he had just came from the south side of the island and it was flooded. But one of our neighbors said that they had watched the news and it was flooded on the north side. And since they couldn't agree we split from the rest of the group. As we were getting close to the doc we saw a man on the ground coughing up blood. My dad ran over to him and tried to talk to him. But he couldn't talk. As we were about to walk away he mumbled: It's happening. The end of ...
