🕸️Emotions🕸️

I sat at the side of the rode.
Waiting for the hole to swallow me.
Waiting for it all to be over.

I heard a whirring behind me...
A familiar whirring.
Thats the noise of a portal opening!
I turned around to see miguel and Jessica drew step through the portal.

Miguel pov

"It's too far gone"
Jessica muttered

"No point in saving it now" I said, shaking my head. Another universe, destroyed. Too bad I couldn't save it.

"What universe is this anyway?"
I asked jessica

"Earth 2010" she responded

My blood ran cold, this was y/n's universe..

"You go, I'll be there soon"
Jessica nodded and went through the portal and I took one last look around

Just as I was about to turn around and go back to spidersociety I heard footsteps come towards me

I looked and saw y/n running to me.
Her arms were disintegrating.

"Help me Miguel... I'm scared"
She muttered, looking down at her arms.

My heart. Broke. I didn't want to show mercy for her. She must have disrupted her canon event. This was her fault.

I looked at the tears welled in her eyes. I felt my own tears grow too.
I had a flashback of my daughter,
She looked down at her disintegrating hands with tears in her eyes.

Goddammit.

Why does y/n have to look so much like my daughter. The fear in y/n's eyes looked just like my daughter's when my universe was collapsing.

I sucked air through my teeth.
I couldn't bring myself to do it.
I couldn't bring myself to let her die.

I quickly grabbed her shoulder, pulling her into the portal. I knew what I did was wrong. I shouldn't have saved her. I let my emotions get the best of me, I promised myself it would never happened again...

We landed in headquarters.
It was just me and y/n, Jessica went god knows where.
I glanced at y/n, her arms were slowly starting to reappear.. but her expression didn't change a bit.
She still looked shocked, and absolutely destroyed.

I'd never been a good emotions..
Not since it happened.
I blame myself every day for what happened to my universe and my daughter. I promised to never let me feeling get in the way again.

So for the first time in a long time...
I hugged her.
I hugged y/n.
She seemed surprised at first, but then she covered her face with her hands and started to sob lightly.

Her sobs didn't stop, they only got louder. Lyla appeared next to us,
She sat on y/n's shoulder and lightly patted her head.

"I'll go prepare a room"
She said

I nodded Lyla.
Some spiders request rooms at spidersociety beacuse they're here most of the time. In y/n's case, she's gonna need one to be here all the time

Lyla knew y/n's universe was getting destroyed, so she didn't ask any questions before making her a room.

Come to think of it, Lyla knows a lot of stuff, she's the only one I've ever opened up to about my daughter.. maybe that's why she wasn't surprised I saved y/n?

Y/n continued crying until Lyla came back.
"Hey.. it's ready.."
Lyla said softly

Y/n nodded and started walking with Lyla to her new room.

She turned around
"Thank you" she muttered
I nodded and the two went to her room.
