MARI'S MENACE (OMORI AU)

CHAPTER 11: OMORI

I take the key and push it through the lock of the red door. Inside was Sunny's ghost.

"Kyohi! Mari! You found me!" He says, turning around.

Mari tries to run towards him, but I stop her.

"It might be a trap," I tell her.

"A trap?" Mari asks

His form distorts, and Omori dismisses the fake Sunny.

"Omori! What do you want from us!?"

"Oh, Kyohi. So innocent. I thought you would know by now. I want control of headspace."

"No way buddy!" I yell.

"Fine. I'll take it by force."

He lunges at me. Mari hits him with her basket before he can get to me. He is knocked against the wall. We look around for a way out. There is a mirror, showing how Sunny's death affected us but that's it.

Omori gets up and initiates a fight. He moves with incredible speed. We manage to get him to half health, however, We were running out of health ourselves.

Omori manages to get Mari down and proceeds to get me down to 1 health.

Omori attacks again, almost killing me.

I can't move, my body was frozen to the ground.

"Ha! You are just as weak as I thought."

"I'm sorry Sunshine. I failed you."

Something wraps around Omori, causing him to stay in the position.

"What the!?!"

"This isn't over. Aubrey, get up." A familiar voice says.

Green hands heal me as someone helps me up.

"Sunny? Is that you?"

I look at the figure helping me up. It was Sunny, but he had a ghost-like figure. He helped Mari up as well.

"Don't worry you aren't alone."

"You. How dare you come back here!" Omori yells.

"Silence Omori."

The green hands wrap around his mouth. Omori tries to yell but the hands muffle the sound.

He picks up his violin from the ground.

"Ready to finish this?"

Mari grabs her basket. She hugs him.

"Ready, Sunny."

I grab my mace.

"Let's do this."

He lets go of Omori and the battle initiates.

Omori is furious. We all attack him, chipping away at his health. We manage to get him back to half-health again.

"You do realize that I know all your fears, Sunny. I am you."

"That's it!"

I whisper something to Sunny.

"I don't know Aubrey."

"Sunshine, we can do this. Remember, I'm right here."

He smiles softly.

"Yeah. I know."

*Aubrey's follow-up move with Sunny became 'ENDLESS NIGHTMARES'*

*Aubrey uses ENDLESS NIGHTMARES*

*Sunny became Afraid*

"What? What are you doing?"

Spider legs reach from the walls, something pushes Omori, and seaweed holds him down.

"No! Let me go! I can't move!"

*Omori became terrified*

Omori only needed one more person to attack him and he would be gone. I stop Sunny and Mari from attacking.

"Omori, I am giving you one last chance. Give up, or we will kill you."

"I'd rather die."

I look at Sunny and cock my head to the side, sweetly.

"Well then, Sunshine. Do you wanna do the honors?"

"Gladly."

Sunny stabs Omori, releasing us from backspace. We are transported to the garden in headspace. Mari stands there for a moment.

"Sunny? Did I-" Mari start.

"No, big sister. You didn't cause my death. Omori did."

He gives her a big hug. She holds him close. Mari disappears.

"What happened to her?" I ask.

"She woke up, that's all."

I run up to him and hug him.

"I don't wanna leave you alone again."

"I'll be alright, as long as you visit."

"I promise. Every night you'll see me."

He smiles.

"You know what. I may have failed in the real world but I refuse to fail you here."

I hold him closer and gently kiss him on the cheek. He stood there silently, processing the fact that I just kissed him. I already started to regret doing it.

"Sunny?"

He holds on tighter and kisses me back. He looks away, embarrassed.

I sit down on the grass and pull him down with me.

"Looks like we both got what we wanted, huh?"

He nods.

"Aubrey? Does this mean we're dating?" He asks.

"To be honest, I don't know. It's up to you."

"Yes."

"Hm?"

" I want us to date."

"Really? I thought you would say no. Is this my Sunny or is this headspace, Sunny?"

He moves closer to me and puts his arm around my waist. He shows his ghostly form.

"The real me. I know I don't talk much but I was waiting for you to notice."

He holds me waiting for my response. I feel myself fading away.

"Aubrey? Aubrey no! Stay asleep for just a bit longer, please!" Sunny begs.
