I let out a groan as Yui was back at Daniel's side, practically clinging to him. It sent shivers down my spine, her feelings for him may not be fake but her voice gets on my nerves, "Yui, what do you think about fat people?" I hear Daniel question, I look over with slight surprise. Was he testing her? Maybe now he will actually see the real person for who she is, a mean girl.

"Is that important? People are people." Yui answered in her sweet voice as Daniel smiled in response. It was then and there I realized, Daniel can't read people all too well, as if he hardly has ever interacted with anyone, much less a girl. It was clear as day she was lying, merely saying things that will get him to like her. Or possibly he was blinded by love, thinking she could do no wrong.

Yui's gaze then fell on Zoe as a smirk decorated her features, before looking in my direction. Unlike Zoe, who held a sullen and defeated look. I gave Yui a warning glare causing her to flinch. I felt a nudge looking over to see Jay with a worried frown on his features. "She started it." I huffed, leaning my head on my hand.

Lunch time came around rather quickly as I walked by Daniel's side looking over to him, seeing his smile, a look of love shining in his gaze. I wanted to tell him Yui's true colors but at the same time I didn't want to see that smile fade, nor become an enemy in his eyes. Once we reached the table I dropped off my stuff. "Hey guys I'm gonna head to the bathroom real quick." I say quickly before rushing out of the cafeteria and into the hallway.

"Hey." I stopped in the halls, looking over after hearing a familiar sickly sweet voice. My eyes locked on Yui, a closed eyed smile decorating her features as the two other girls looked uncertain. "You're (Y/N) right?" Yui questioned, her smile not once fading as she looked at me expectantly.

"I am." I answered, my gaze drifting to the bathroom, I really had to go, I don't have time for this. "What is it you want?" I questioned turning to look at Yui, keeping my tone even. I don't like her at all, but no point in making enemies when it's not needed. I would like a smooth school year ... or life really.

"Oh just wondering why you keep hanging out with Danny? It's obvious he doesn't like you." Yui spoke as her smile turned into a smirk, her eyes locking with my own, the two girls standing on either side of her giggled to themselves.

I simply gave her an unamused expression in response as I crossed my arms, the need to use the restroom was completely gone from my mind. "He does like me, as a friend. I say that is a step up from you, considering you are temporary." I countered with a smirk of my own, meeting her gaze, not backing down as tension began to rise, the air becoming electric.

Yui's eyes sharpened to a glare as her smirk fell to an angry frown as she moved her face closer to mine, "Stay away from Danny, you -"

"And you stop excluding Zoe." I countered by taking a step forward, forcing her to take a step back. "You know what I think? I think you don't really like Daniel, I think you are only in it because he is the 'hottest guy in school' as other girls call him. Because of that you don't like the fact Zoe is getting so close to him and decided to shoot your own shot, ghosting Zoe from her friends in the process." I explained as Yui held a shocked expression, she tried to speak but she couldn't find the right words as my smirk grew, feeling satisfaction as she stood there tongue tied. "As I thought, you may be pretty on the outside but on the inside you're a pile of trash." I spoke, turning my back to her and her friends making my way to the bathroom, a small laugh escaping me once the three were out of earshot. "This day just got a little better." I spoke with a chuckle as the bathroom door closed behind me.

The rest of the school day was uneventful, however Yui refused to meet my eyes for the rest of the day, she seemed a bit tense as well. Good, maybe that will teach her to be a bit more mindful next to who she is sending her threats and smirks at. I plopped down on my couch with my laptop in hand, opening it, going onto the streaming site to watch Duke again. My eyes widened in slight surprise seeing Daniel next to him, excitement danced in my eyes as I got to see the two sing for the first time, or really the first time watching them live.
