I sat in the chair with one leg over the other, my elbow leaning onto the counter as I waited for the guards to bring forward Jake. I have visited at least twice a week, still trying to get answers out of him on why he would do something so stupid. Of course at the same time he's been questioning about my life as well, to which I answered some but those I answered were short and didn't really completely answer his questions.

I perk up a little hearing the door open looking up at Jake who was guided in with cuffs on his wrists. "Leave us." I say with a wave of my hand, the guards bowed their heads before leaving us alone in the room.

"Amazing how we are always alone with no one around." Jake spoke as he glanced around as he walked over to the chair, sitting down and leaning back with his hands resting in his lap.

I shrugged, "Came at a lucky time I guess." I yawned before leaning back in the chair, crossing my arms. Silence stretched between the two of us, as if waiting for the other to ask the first question or speak the first word. Eventually I caved, letting out a sigh, "Alright let's play a little game." Jake raised his brow looking at me confused. "I ask you a question, if you answer it truthfully you can ask me a question and I will answer it truthfully." I say with a smile.

"How do I know you won't lie?" Jake questioned, a stoic expression on his features.

"Have I ever gone back on my word?" I countered my remaining smile.

A soft smile decorated Jake's features, "No ... I guess you never have." I then watched as his gaze wandered around the room before sighing. "Fine, but only three."

"Three is all I need." I say before thinking for a moment. "How did you get involved with Big Deal?" I questioned, getting straight to the point as I waited intently for his answer.

Jake let out a sigh, seeming to hesitate for a moment before answering, "Truth is at first I wanted no part of it. Until I met the leader of Big Deal at the time, Sinu Han. In all truth he just wanted to find a way to protect his street from outside gangs. I admired that. He and the crew themselves weren't at all what I thought." A sad smile seemed to form on his features, he told a whole answer. For the first time, he actually gave a complete answer, not to mention spoke the truth. "Now it's my turn." I snapped out of my thoughts as I waited for him to ask a question. "How do you know Gun?" He questioned, seeming to be getting straight to the point as well.

I then think for a moment, wondering where to begin, "We've known each other for a long while, even before he became the Gun you know now. I think it was back when I was twelve, when we first met. Father allowed him to stay in our house for a year or so before he returned to Japan. I would sneak out to watch him and my brother spar with one another, then Gun and I would spar as long as father wasn't home." I answered, nodding to myself, deeming it as a satisfying answer.

Jake's eyes widened a little before nodding to himself, "So I take it you two grew very close?" Something flashed in his gaze as his shoulders tensed up.

"Yeah you can say that." A memory flashed across my mind causing a light blush to decorate my features before shaking my head, "Alright my turn, why the gambling?" I questioned, referring back to his illegal gambling business.

Jake's frown deepened as a sad look decorated his features, "Gun and another guy showed up suddenly. They first attacked us but after that they found us useful and gave us an amount we had to pay them in order to keep the street, it was a crazy amount that we couldn't just reach. So Sinu sold himself, giving us plenty of money to last for a while. But of course that money slowly began to run out, and ... I was working to get enough money to buy Sinu back." He said as he placed his elbows on his thighs as he was slumped over, looking defeated.
