As I glanced at myself in the mirror, standing there staring at my very slim, slightly bigger pregnant stomach and naked body, I couldn't help but notice that my once radiant glow had dimmed a little.

Understandably so, as I had recently awakened from a grueling three-month coma. The toll of such a prolonged unconscious state left me feeling physically weak and emotionally drained.

After being fed and bathed by an adamant Dimitri, I cherished every minute of his pampering, grateful for his patient care. Even in my weakened state, the tenderness of his actions brought a sense of reassurance and safety.

As my eyes met Dimitri's, I could sense the intensity of his gaze, and I found myself blushing slightly, even though I knew there was no reason to feel shy. He had seen every facet of me, body and soul.

Quickly, I gathered the robe around me, feeling a mix of vulnerability and desire as I covered myself. Although I knew he admired and cherished me as I was, a hint of shyness still lingered, adding a touch of innocence to the passion we shared.

"In the moments when you were unconscious, my gaze couldn't help but appreciate your captivating beauty, my Rena. Your allure has a way of stirring my thoughts in unexpected directions." I blushed, feeling a delightful warmth spread through me, in response to his playful comment.

"Thank you for-" I began, but Dimitri interrupted me, not letting me finish my sentence.

"No need to thank me," he said firmly, his protective instincts taking over. "It's my responsibility to ensure both my babies are okay. Placing you both in such a life-threatening situation required me to act."

I blushed even more as he continued to shower me with compliments and explain his perspective.

"It wasn't your fault," I interjected softly, wanting him to understand that I didn't hold him accountable for what happened.

"I should've handled Sofia earlier; you should've never gone through such an experience, princess, especially after the child you're carrying is mine. I basically made you a target of Sofia. So, in all due respect, I should be the one apologizing to you, Rena," Dimitri paused, his voice filled with remorse.

"I apologize for everything that I've put you through, baby girl, and I hope you'll forgive me." His sincerity was evident in his eyes, and his words touched my heart, making me smile despite the lingering discomfort caused by my stomach.

"I forgive you a million times, Dimitri." I reassured him, wanting to ease his worries. The truth was, Dimitri had gone above and beyond in taking care of me, and he wasn't the one to blame for Sofia's delusions.

"I'm also very proud of you for doing something most of us could not do, princess, and that's eliminating Sofia. This shows me how strong and determined you are." Dimitri praised me, and his words filled me with a mix of pride and affection, causing me to blush.

"Throughout my childhood, my father insisted on enrolling me in taekwondo lessons, a decision that I now realize was driven by his unwavering love and concern for my well-being."

Those lessons not only imparted discipline and strength but also instilled a profound sense of empowerment within me, I should've used my skills and give my stepmom a good whooping but unfortunately that would've undoubtedly angered my father and probably caused him to send me away earlier.

Dimitri nodded his head but before we could go any further I felt a slight kick in my stomach startling me and making me anxious.

"I think the baby just kicked!" I gasped watching as Dimitri smiled at me and I immediately took his hand placed it on my stomach so he could.

"Yes, fortunately, I've had plenty of opportunities to feel her kicks whenever I talk to her," Dimitri said with a touch of tenderness and love. It was as if he had transformed into a true gentleman, cherishing every moment of our journey into parenthood.

As I eagerly awaited the answer, I couldn't help but ask Dimitri, "Do you know the gender of the baby?"

His caring and considerate response touched my heart, as he assured me, "No, I made sure your doctor didn't reveal anything about your pregnancy, apart from ensuring both you and the baby are okay."

Overwhelmed by his thoughtfulness, tears welled up in my eyes, witnessing the transformation of the man who had once kidnapped me into someone so loving and attentive.

To prevent the tears from flowing, Dimitri tenderly silenced me with a passionate kiss. As his lips met mine, an electrifying sensation coursed through my body, filling me with a blissful rush of emotions.

The fluttering of butterflies in my stomach intensified, and I couldn't help but gasp as he gently bit my lip, a slight pang of pain that only deepened the intensity of our kiss.

In that moment, time seemed to stand still, and I surrendered myself completely to the profound connection we shared. Each tender touch, each heartful embrace, spoke volumes of the love that had blossomed between us, transcending the adversities of our past.

In Dimitri's arms, I found solace and a love that I never thought possible. The journey from captor to confidant had been an unexpected path, but it had led us to a place where our hearts beat as one, where love and understanding intertwined.

The heat of the moment enveloped us as our tongues danced in perfect harmony, savoring each other's tantalizing taste. Immersed in his intoxicating presence, I couldn't help but breathe in his succulent aroma, completely captivated by his enigmatic allure.

Yet, amidst the passionate haze, I felt my robe being gently pulled, and Dimitri's lips parted from mine, slowly making their way down to my neck.

Temptation beckoned, urging me to give in to the desire that consumed us both. But I knew there were matters to attend to, and Dimitri's attempt to change my mind was evident.

Reluctantly, I broke away from him, the yearning to continue further making it difficult to step back. It had been a long while since I last felt his touch, and the craving for his presence was undeniable.

"I understand what you're trying to do, Dimitri. It's irresistible, but we must focus on what needs to be done. We can continue where we left off once we've taken care of everything," I nervously told him, my heart racing as I tried to maintain composure.

His intense gaze had the power to make me weak in the knees, but I knew the importance of our current responsibilities.

He nodded, his eyes softening with understanding, and he handed me his phone.

As I let out a sigh, a mix of hope and apprehension filled my heart. I couldn't help but worry about my father's stubborn and hard-headed nature, fearing that it might complicate matters further. The weight of the upcoming conversation with him felt like a heavy burden on my shoulders.

"Here goes nothing," I whispered, taking a deep breath, I steeled myself for the difficult task of confronting my father and trying to bridge the gaps that had divided us for so long.
