Chapter Thirteen

I made my way down the elegant corridor, enjoying the view of multiple paintings, vases and sculptures. I straighened my hair and clothing and took a deep breath before knocking on Tom's door.

No reply...

I knocked a little harder this time; perhaps he was still sleeping?

"Come in," came a muffled noise through the other side of the door.

Hesitating, I slowly opened the door and took a peek inside. I took a glance around the room searching for Tom when I spotted a figure moving in the bed.

Smiling to myself, I made my way towards the bed; preparing to frighten him.

I grabbed the sheets, threw them in the floor shouted out. The figure screeched out.

Before I could laugh into hysterics, I discovered that the figure was too tanned to be Tom and his hair was too dark.

The figure turned around, and to my suprise it wasn't Tom but Calvin. I gasped in shocked when I caught sight of his face. He had a huge scratch along his face.

"What the hell happened to you?" I gasped, taking a closer look.

He turned around and shrugged his shoulders, avoiding looking at me.

"Nothing," he mumbled.

"That is not nothing," I sat on the bed and turned his face, "Who did this to you?" I whispered.

"It's just a scratch," he continued on, avoiding my gaze.

"No it's not; Calvin, tell me who did this to you," I demanded, getting annoyed with him.

Slowly, he shook he said and whispered, "I can't."

I stared at his dumbfounded, "You can't What do you mean you can't."

This time his face rose up and he looked at me in the eyes, they were red, tired and watery.

"It will ruin everything."

"What? You know if Cassandra see's you like this she'll get an answer," I stated, worried about her reaction.

"That's why I'm avoiding her," he whispered ever so slightly.

I shook my head, mad and confused, "You crazy? You can't avoid her! Do you know how upset she'll be if you start avoiding her? She'll think she did something wrong."

He looked guilty and concerned for a moment but then it was all gone and his face was serious again,

"I don't care," he replied icily, sending child through my spine.

"You're a jerk, you know that? First you tell Gina that my relationship with Tom is fake and then you do this to Cassandra? You know what, I think she'll be better off Without you asshole," I shouted, jumping of the bed and slamming the door behind me.

What an idiot.

*~*

After looking around the house for Tom, Jay's aunt informez me that they both went to the beach with Gina and Lia and didn't want to distrub me since I was still sleeping.

Well that cleans things up...not.

I caught of Cassandra walking in the kitchen with an apple in her hand. She glanced at me, smiled? And made her way towards me.

"Hey Y/n, have you seen the others?" She asked, taking a bite of her apple.

"Tom, Jay, Gina and Lia went to the beach," I replied staring to see her reaction.

"What 'bout Calvin?" She asked swallowing the bite.

I hesitated before answering, "He's in his room last time I checked."

She nodded, "I'll go cosit him now." She started making her way out of the kitchen.

"Wait!" I shouted out,

"What is it?" She asked, confused.

I bit my lip, "There is something I need to tell you."

She raised her brow, "Can't it wait?" She asked.

"No."

She took another bite of her apple, "Shoot."

"Something is wrong with Calvin." I responded, awaiting her reaction, nothing.

"What's wrong with him?" She asker, chewing her apple furiously.

"He told Gina that what me and Tom was fake-" she cut me off.

"What?"

I shook my head and continued, "That's not all, I went to wake up Tom but Calvin was the only one there, he has a pretty nasty scratch in his face, I asked him who did it and he doesn't reply."

Her face was in a state of shook, "I'll talk t-to him," she stuttered.

I shook my head, "He's avoiding you."

"What? Why?" She asked, hurt written all over her face.

"I don't know, but I'm pretty sure Gina has something to do with it."

"That's why we're getting revenge on that bitch." I added causing a weak smile to appear on Cassandra's face.

"Bring it on," she replied huskily.
