Akshara stood lost in thought, remembering Kairav's harsh words.
Usse Aaru ke baare mein bathane ki koi zaroorat nahi.

Unhone mera naam thak nahi liya. Akshara thought, a lone tear slipping out.
Abhinav entered the kitchen, eyes widening as he rushed forward. "Arrey Akshara-ji doodh ubal raha hain!"
Abhinav rushed to turn the stove off but was too late, a good portion of the milk spilling out. "Sorry Abhinav-ji, mera dhyaan---"
"Maike main hain. Aapko aapki behen ki chinta hain, hain na?" Abhinav asked with a small, understanding smile. "Kaira ko call kar dijiye."
"Kiya tha Abhinav-ji. Lekin--" Akshara recounted the entire incident.
"Kya ji aap bhi, Saale Sahab aapse gussa honge, lekin nafrat kabhi nahi kar sakte."
Akshara looked up at Abhinav with teary eyes. "Apne unka tone nahi suna tha."
Abhinav's heart pricked at the broken tone, reminding him of the Akshara he met six years ago and an unnamed fear gripped his heart. He had seen her fight her past and move past everything.
He had seen every tear, scream, panic attack and nightmare. And he had seen her overcome each one of them.
It broke his heart to see the strong girl crumble in front of his eyes. Again.
Hesitantly, Abhinav reached out, wiping away a tear on Akshara's cheek. "Maana maine aapke bhai ki tone nahi suni, lekin main khud ek bhai hoon ji. Aur yeh bhai poore guarantee se keh raha hain ji, ek baar bas aap apke bhai ke samne khade hongi na, saara gussa pigal jaayega."
Akshara looked at him with tears. "Pakka?"
"Sau takka."
Akshara chuckled weakly, wiping away the tears. "Thank you Abhinav-ji."
"Koi nahi ji. Main hoon na." Abhinav said, flexing his collar. Akshara laughed, the two settling into a comfortable silence.
"Laiye, main chai bana deta hoon." Abhinav took over, swiftly getting two cups of tea ready.
Akshara laid out a plate of kachoris and a cup of milk for Abhir. The little boy pouted at his glass and glanced over his parents.
"Papa, mujhe bhi chai chahiye!"
"Bilkul nahi." Both Akshara and Abhinav said at the same time.
"Kya yaar aap dono!"
