"𝗪𝗛𝗢 𝗗𝗜𝗘𝗗?" Spencer shut the door behind her when she ascended into the boys bedroom, her copy of Shakespeare's Hamlet firmly clutched to her cold palm. Prior to her arrival, she'd been purposefully locked away in her own bedroom with a pen in her hand and masses of amounts of lined paper trying to come up with a concise topic for a character deconstruction essay.

Her first qualm about the entire assignment was the fact that she had to write everything down on paper in the first place, instead of computers or any other source that didn't require her to gain a hand cramp and a new outlook on how much trees one person had killed just to provide the material she was using for it. Senseless arguments to archive a sensible outcome.

Alas, when she'd brought up the topical discussion after school to her AP English teacher, who was in fast persistent to hightail it out of there to make outside for a smoke break, he'd told her that if they had the budget to provide technology in their school to start with, then he would've considered it as an option.

But they didn't. And even if they did have enough money to provide multiple computers in their dinky library tucked away in a place that no students ever entered, then there would be a high chance that it wouldn't be there by the end of the school year. Because, underfunded schools produce kids that like to engage in recreational petty theft, apparently.
