Gear vs Grub vs Fun

Y/N: (They're lit down there)

Bright lights and loud music filled your senses the closer you jumped to  Splatsville

The area was so packed that you could barely make out the street below you. The Splatfest was already in full swing, running for almost 2 days

With the main street inaccessible you land around a back alley

Y/N: (Man this is like a real festival)

Taking a look around you realize it was nothing like the game. Street performers, games, and  food stands filled the streets. 

A few passing stares remind you of your current state of dress and you begin to make your way towards your apartment

Y/N: (Damn ! Asshole. )

The crowd proved to be too lively though as you were constantly knocked around and receiving  jabs to your body. You direct your gaze to the roof of your apartment as you exit the crowd from the side

Y/N: (This is corny)

With a small leap you propel yourself to the top of building

Harmony: Y/N ?

The ditzy anemone greeted you upon landing. She seemed to be watching the festival from above, sitting with her feet dangling from the edge of the roof

Y/N: Yoo

You notice her gaze shift downwards

Harmony: Didn't think you were the crop top type... fresh

Y/N: I'm not, it's for work

Harmony: Exhibitionist ?

Y/N: Nah— Hard labor

You subconsciously pulled down at the top that was riding up your skin

Harmony: You're not fighting in the Splatfest ?

Y/N: Yeah i'm about to register. What about you ?

She shook her head in disappointment

Harmony: I can't produce ink.. sigh

Y/N: You're not missing out on anything

Harmony: I guess. I mean, I am... but have fun though

Y/N: I will

You head through the door leaving her to watch the festival alone

Y/N: ( I don't think i saw Shiver or Frye)

You mentally callback to your view of the streets as you slide the key into the door knob. Once unlocked,  you head straight to your room and strip off your hero suit 

Y/N: ( My gear is in the lobby, i'll just throw on whatever for now)

After changing you take the elevator to the first floor deciding to head out through the ground level.

Y/N: (What the)

You gave the door a push— but it didn't budge so you  give it another putting your whole body into it.

You move to the side and attempt to look through the glass only to find total darkness staring back at you

Y/N:( It's not even that dark out)

Jellyfish: The door's probably blocked

You turn to the source of the voice and see the jellyfish receptionist
