Winter: *shocked* You're torturing the Ace-Ops?!

Jack: Don't worry, it's only their volume 8 version that deserve it. Not the ones from your timeline.

Ironwood: I suppose that's a relief.

Yang: Okay, great! Can we start the movie, then!? We gotta know what happens next!

Gian: Fair enough.

On the rooftop, the CMS spun and gathered the Tesseract's energy, gathering it and releasing it as a beam. Soon a portal began to form in the sky, leading into a black void, beyond this void were the Chitauri, who charged through the portal on flying chariots.

Blake: *groans* Sky portals in movies are SO overdone.

Ren: Most definitely a very tired and generic trope. There are other ways of making something big and devastating besides a big portal in the sky.

Qrow: It was fun the first couple of times. Now? It's been done. We want something else.

Tony: Right. Army.

He then flew up towards the portal, as the Chitauri on the chariots started firing on him. Iron Man weaved to the side and started firing and blowing up the chariots, moving around the attackers but as one was taken down, five more passed him.

Ironwood: It's no use. There's too many for one man, no matter how much firepower he has.

Velvet: *worried* Still, he has to try. He's the only line of defense right now.

Ruby: *panicking* Yeah! Where are the others!?

Winter: The Iron Man suit is capable of breaking the sound barrier. Based on the Quinjet's design, I highly doubt it can do the same. Tony must have been several dozen miles ahead of them they have to catch up.

A shoulder flap opened and several miniature rockets flew out, each one honing in on several of the chariots and destroying them as he ascended upwards. Even so, there were more chariots that got by, spreading out and over the city, firing onto the people on the streets.

People scattered and ran for their lives, as explosions rocked the streets and cars were blown apart. People ran around aimlessly, some running into shops to try and escape the barrage, looking on in horror at the carnage happening before them.

On STARK Tower, Loki walked out over onto the podium, his armor forming around him as he watched the slaughter begin. Already, several city blocks had been hit and many buildings were on fire. Thor arrived, dropping onto the landing.

Thor: Loki! Turn off the Tesseract or I'll destroy it!

Nora: Go, Dad! Take down uncle Loki and save everyone!

Emerald: I mean, Thor's definitely good, but I don't think even HE can take on all of this at once.

Jaune: Would taking Loki out first stop the whole thing? He's the one in charge, after all.
