3 - War & Loss (Thor: The Dark World)

Back on Svartalfheim, Malekith is in his ship, plotting his vengeance against the Asgardians.

Malekith: The Realms will be aligned soon.

He then took out a knifeand turned to Algrim.

Malekith: You'll be the last of the Kursed.

He then stabbed him in the stomach with his knife.

Weiss: *concerned* Oh, no! Not another one of those monsters!

Winter: *concerned* And Asgard hasn't seen the Dark Elves, let alone the Kursed, since before Odin was king. They'd have no knowledge on how to fight them nowadays.

Nora: Eh, it's no biggie. The Warriors Three and Sif could probably take them easy, let alone Dad or Grandpa Odin.

Ren: I'm not sure, Nora. We've seen Malekith is a dastardly tactician. He may come up with some underhanded strategy.

Ironwood: And even then, you should never underestimate an opponent.

Algrim: Let my life be sacrificed. The same as our people.

Malekith: You will become darkness, doomed to this existence until it consumes you.

One of the dark elves then placed a molten rock in Malekith's hand and Malekith placed it inside Algrim's stomach. 

Malekith: And then no power of our enemies will stop me.

Neo: Wait, why's he putting the rock in his stomach? I thought they had to crush those to become those Kursed things.

Emerald: Maybe he turned into some kind of super version of a Kursed if it's in his stomach?

Cinder pondered this as well, before her eyes widened in realization.

Cinder: lt's a Mistralian Horse.

Ruby: What do you mean, Cinder?

Cinder: A Mistralian Horse. It's a decoy. Vacuo made a giant wooden horse during the Great War as a peace offering to Mistral, but it was filled with Vacuoan soldiers, now in the heart of enemy territory, so they popped out and slaughtered the Mistralian soldiers while they were asleep. We've seen that Asgardians can still bring down the Kursed, even in groups, so one Kursed
doesn't stand a chance against an army of Asgardians, plus the stronger ones like Heimdall, Thor or Odin, so they need him to be in the right place before they use him as a Kursed. It's like what Salem had us do, since we couldn't just break into Beacon, guns blazing to get to the vault.

Ozpin: Impressive observation, Miss Fall. I'm certain Professor or rather, Dr. Oobleck would have given you an A+ in your next history class if he had heard that.

Algrim: I'Il destroy their defenses and resurrect the universe.

Malekith then looked to one of his dark elves as he carried a mask.

Back in Asgard, Fandral and Volstagg returned with several prisoners, including the masked Algrim.

Everyone instantly felt dread upon seeing the masked creature, figuring it had to be Algrim.
