Leaving Lauren with Normani, Dinah rushed up the stairway to see what the sudden commotion was. Dinah ran upstairs and followed Camila's distressed screams and cries to the bathroom.
Upon seeing the state that the small Cuban was in, she hurried over to Demi and Camila taking note of the blood-coated floor and walls. It made her feel so uneasy knowing Camila had lost so much blood.
"We've got to get her to a hospital, Dems," Dinah said anxiously. Demi nodded as she began wrapping the screaming and sobbing girl's arms and legs so she wouldn't lose anymore blood on their way to the hospital. Scooping the hysterical girl up in her arms, Demi carried Camila through the house and to Dinah's car, saddened by her desperate pleas for them to just let her die and for someone to make it stop.
"Shhh, I have you..." Demi cooed as she got in the backseat holding Camila in her arms securely as Dinah got up front, starting to speed towards the hospital. The girls got around the corner of the hospital before Camila broke free of Demi's grasp and lunged for the door, opening it. Demi quickly pulled the small girl back into her embrace and restrained her.
"Baby, no! Hey, hey, hey..." Demi spoke sweetly to Camila as the girl screamed and cried as they pulled into the car park at the emergency room. Dinah came and opened the door for Demi and Camila, and Demi stepped out into the cool air with Camila clinging to her trembling. They rushed through the doors and to the receptionist, doing their best to quickly fill out the paperwork and explain what happened. They hastily took Camila back, allowing Demi to carry her. Demi sat down on the bed with the distraught girl as a nurse approached them.
"Hey, I'm Nurse Amelia, I'm going to give her something to help her calm down so we can suture her wounds." The girls nodded and the nurse brought over a syringe and on the count of three, injected it. Before 10 minutes even passed, the small girl was whimpering quietly into Demi's jumper and covering her ears.
"The shot should help calm down her hallucinations as well," the nurse informed the girls, who nodded thankfully. Another 20 minutes elapsed and Camila was sleeping curled up into Demi's side. Because the nurse told them to press the call button when she was calm or sleeping, Dinah pressed the call button, sending the nurse back into the room with the suture tray. Demi moved off of the bed so the nurse could work. She did a quick job of suturing and bandaging Camila's wounds. Once she finished she turned around to the girls.
"I'll go ahead and page our on-call psyche and you two can speak to her. She should be in shortly," the nurse informed the pair.
"Okay, thank you."
"Thank you very much."
"It's no problem," the nurse replied as she left the room. Dinah sighed sitting down on the edge of the bed with tears in her eyes, finally feeling the emotions surrounding Camila's suicide attempt.
"Hey, D... she's gonna be okay. We're gonna help her through this," Demi told Dinah as she put a comforting hand on her shoulder.
Dinah sniffled and nodded, "I know... it just pains me to see her hurting this badly."
Demi sighed, "Me too." A knock on the door interrupted the couple's conversation.
"Come in!" Dinah called. A young Latina woman with kind eyes came in and approached the pair.
"Hey, I'm Doctor Torres. I'll be doing Camila's psyche consultation. I heard it was a suicide attempt that brings you guys in?" Dinah and Demi nodded.
"Do you know what triggered it?" Demi and Dinah shared a pondering look before Demi spoke up.
"She's been hallucinating very badly recently. I think she just wanted it to be quiet in her head and end," she explained.
"I'd like to admit her for observation. We can most likely provide a diagnosis and any medication she may need as well as set her up with an aftercare plan with a mental health team." Doctor Torres informed the couple. They sighed sadly, knowing it was for the best to keep Camila safe right now.
"Will she be able to have visitors?" Dinah asked.
"Not for the first week, but I should let you know the average stay is about a week or so." The doctor told them.
"O okay. God, she's gonna have such a hard time," Dinah said as she stressfully ran a hand through her hair.
"We will give her the care she needs. She'll be back home with you guys before you know it and in a better place," said Doctor Torres.
The girls nodded, "Okay."
"We're going to go ahead and get her down to the ward and into a bed. You can call for updates at any time."
Demi and Dinah nodded, "Thank you," the girls spoke up.
"Need me to show you the way out?" The doctor offered. They both shook their heads and kissed Camila's forehead before heading out of the hospital and to their car, starting the empty feeling ride home.
*time skip*
Camila was awoken by a bright light and reached over for her favourite stuffed animal only to be met by an empty space. She bolted up seeing the pale blue walls and window with the blinds switched open along with a young woman in dark blue scrubs and brown hair in the room. She didn't see any of the girls. Where was she? She pulled her legs to her chest, wincing from the pain as she did so, and started to cry, quickly sending herself into a panic attack. The young woman quickly took notice and walked over to the sobbing girl. "Camila, hey hun... you're in the hospital. Everything is okay," she spoke softly, hoping to offer the small girl some form of comfort.
