I'm fully in my hockey romance era, but I'm also a big dark romance reader. The problem with hockey romance is it's usually light and fun and that's not what I enjoy reading OR writing.
So, going into this story you should know that it's going to get dark. If that's not your jam, tap out now because you're not going to be into this.
Hayden is an asshole. A full-fledged dick and he gives approximately zero fucks about it. He's not going to grovel. He's not going to apologize for his shitty behavior. He IS, however, going to be obsessed with his love interest.
Is it unhealthy? Yup.
It's also fiction, meant to explore taboo and terrible things behind the safety of a screen and knowing this is NOT real. I'm not endorsing any of Hayden's behavior nor do I think it's a good example of a healthy relationship.
