I descended the stairs with anticipation, the wooden steps creaking beneath my weight. As I reached the bottom, I settled onto a stool, feeling its cool surface against my skin. Felix, with his mischievous gaze, glanced at me from the corner of his eye, a sly smirk playing on his lips.

"You look good," he said, his voice dripping with confidence, as he took a sip of his coffee. Leaning in closer, his warm breath tickled my neck, sending shivers down my spine. "You smell even better," he whispered, his eyes locking onto mine.

Nervously, I gulped, feeling the intensity of his gaze. "Thanks," I managed to whisper, my voice barely audible. As he leaned away, I shifted my gaze downwards, my eyes fixating on the stack of pancakes in front of me. With a rumbling stomach, I eagerly dug in, savoring each bite as the flavors exploded in my mouth.

"Don't worry about trying to wear everything all at once," he chuckled, his voice tinged with amusement. "You'll be staying here long enough to wear every single thing in that closet." I couldn't help but blush at his words, my cheeks turning a deep shade of pink.

"You want me to stay here?" I mustered the courage to ask, curiosity burning in my voice.

Felix hesitated, his eyes momentarily flickering away before locking onto mine again. "More than you know," he finally admitted, his voice laced with a hint of vulnerability. "But I'm not sure you would want to."

"Why do you say that?" I inquired, searching for answers.

"I'll tell you once you're ready," he winked playfully. "In the meantime, eat up. You're too skinny," he teased, a mixture of concern and affection evident in his voice.

We were in a frantic rush to get to school on time, our footsteps echoing down the empty hallways. Felix, seemingly unfazed by our tardiness, briskly made his way to his second period class,

while I found myself lingering in the boys' bathroom, lost in deep thought. The weight of the impending quiz hung heavily over my head, and in a school like ours, it wasn't misbehavior that threatened expulsion, but rather our academic performance.

The realization struck me like a bolt of lightning - I hadn't studied a single bit for this test. Panic set in as I desperately searched for a way out of this predicament. I needed the answer sheet, and I needed it fast.

As the final bell rang, I emerged from the bathroom, my heart pounding in my chest. The teachers, like clockwork, began filing out of the teachers' room, making their way to their respective second period classes.

My eyes darted around, searching for an opportunity. With a quick glance, I peered through the slightly ajar door of the teacher's room, my heart skipping a beat. Inside, five teachers were huddled together, engrossed in conversation.

Summoning all the courage I could muster, I cautiously pushed the door open, the creaking sound slicing through the tense silence. The room fell silent, and the five pairs of eyes turned towards me, their gazes piercing through my very soul.

"Ah, so you're the new addition to our student body, Vanitas," one of the teachers exclaimed, capturing my attention. A smile naturally spread across my face, eager to embark on this new educational journey.

"Yes, Ma'am," I responded, my eyes wandering over the towering stacks of papers that adorned the long table before me. "I apologize for interrupting, but I seem to have misplaced my school schedule," I confessed, hoping for some assistance.

"Don't fret, my dear, I'll gladly lend a hand," chimed in the rather robust teacher, her struggle to rise from her chair evident. Despite my assurance that I had the situation under control, she insisted on offering her help.
