No problem- Chance the Rapper, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz
Can I call you tonight?- Dayglow
Intro: Serendipity- BTS
The weekend sadly comes to an end. The Michigan weather gets even colder, especially in the morning. Monday morning wasn't anything new. The usual routine just proceeded but Kiki pulled me aside and started asking questions.
"Did Jalerean try to talk to you over the weekend?" She questioned as I walked into school.
"He tried to after the game, but I told him no," I say leave out the whole story "He practically held me hostage on the field" part.
Why didn't you let him talk to you?" Kiki asked as if I'm obligated to talk to him
"Because it's Jalarean and I don't lie to him."
"He's not gonna hurt you. You act like he's dangerous," she states as I look at her in disbelief.
"He literally didn't take no for an answer, held onto my arm, and practically yelled at me to talk to him in front of dozens of people. He is dangerous."
"Just because he won't take no for an answer doesn't make him dangerous. If you'd talked to him, he wouldn't have yelled at you," Kiki responds, rolling her eyes at me like it was my fault that he became aggressive. As I walked away from her, she yelled that I was just dramatic and that caused Zeph to look at me with curiosity. I just shook it off and changed the subject as we walked back downstairs. He started talking about whatever as we waited for you to come. We ended up walking with Nicole to her locker and to class instead of standing by the doors. As we were talking and Nicole, eventually brought up what Jalarean did at the game. She said that people who went to the game were talking about it over the weekend and I summed up what happened to both of them. While I was telling them the recap, you walked in and just stood behind me, resting your head on top of mine as you gave them a little wave.
"Did you start on the paper?" Nicole asked as you stood up normally.
"We have a paper? When is it due?" You shouted.
"It's due this Friday. It's about those climate change topics she gave us last week," she says as you rack your brain cells to remember while Zeph and I quietly laugh.
"I barely started but I got the resources, I think," you respond as the warning bells go off.
Zeph and I waved bye and made our way to our classes. The usual attendance and make way to the library routine happened for Campbell's class. I was talking to a few classmates, Cody and Daniel, as we made our way downstairs to the library. Daniel asked if I was okay from Friday since he was the team manager. He also said that Coach Miller is about to make Jalarean's life a living hell for playoff practice. I told him I was fine and Jalarean was getting what he deserved while Cody questioned what happened as I separated from them and to where you were sitting at the computers.
"Shouldn't you be doing the APES paper and not watching new Eisenhower highlights?" I asked as I sat down at the computer next to you.
"Okay, I started it but I can multitask; you say as you leave the video playing quietly and click back onto your paper.
I shook my head at your antics and turned on my computer to do my Medical English homework. Not even halfway through writing your paper, you logged out and went back to watching the highlights. I mumbled that you were gonna regret not getting it done sooner as I continued typing my own paper. You just shook your head in disagreement and we continued to sit in silence. A little while after, I showed my work and logged off the computer as you continued to watch highlights.
