🌑 Maroon + Plankton 🌕

Maroon's POV,

Pyrrhia was an interesting place I had to admit. Such beauty it held. I mainly walked around, admiring the lands. However, I avoided any contact with random dragons I saw. They all looked...Really funny. Two winged? It was a strange sight to me.

I mainly loved being by the seas. Listening to the ocean waves brush against the stones and sands. It was weirdly calming. Plus, watching the sun setting, or rising!
Its abstract colours, mixing deeply within the skies. It felt euphoric, feeling me with hope.

However, one day I watched the sunrise. Multiple colours splotched here and there. My eyes in a trance at its sights. So much that my surroundings were completely blocked.
I dug my talons deep within the sands. It felt comforting, like I was one with such a peaceful spot. Then, he interrupted me.
"Hello?"
An unfamiliar voice questioned me from behind. I jumped slightly, turning behind me.
A forest green sea wing stared back at me. He noticed my startle.
"Oh...Sorry! I didn't mean to startle you...Just...Wondering what your doing..."
He questioned. His tone sounding soft, weirdly soothing.
"Uhhmmm...Watching the sunrise..."
I replied quietly, hoping he heard me. His yellow eyes ( if its not yellow please tell me 😭 ) stared deeply into mine. He then smiled.
"Oh...That sounds nice! May I join you..?"
He asked, sounding extremely confident. It bugged me, how can he be so confident?!
I nodded shyly, an awkward smile spreading across my snout. A huge grin appeared along his face as he sat beside me.
"Oh...Where are my manners...The name is Plankton!"
His soft eyes turned to me. His piercing yellow eyes. He was very funny...His body...Two wings?? But...Thats just...Strange...
"Uhhh...You okay?"
He shook me by my shoulders. My eyes widened the instant. I nodded up and down.
"Mhm!"
I replied. He took his talons back, chuckling.
"Great! And...Whats your name??"
That sweet smile reappearing. It made me feel funny. I hated it.
"Marn...I MEAN MAROON!"
I shouted, messing up on my words. His eyes widened in a hint of shock. I just looked back at him embarrassed. Great job Maroon...OR SHOULD I SAY MARN! Surprisingly, he began chuckling. I didn't know if it was at me, or he just likes laughing a lot. I laughed along slightly.
"Your funny Maroon...And nice to meet you!"
He stood up, looking at me. I stood up too, feeling weird being the only one sat down.
"Nice to meet you too Plankton..."
A small smile escaped from me. He noticed, smiling with me.
"May I ask...Plankton. What are you??"
I just had to ask. His strange form was interesting.
"Huh? Oh...I'ma sea wing! The name is self-explanatory..."
He nodded, turning his gaze to the waters. I followed that gaze, then looking at him.
"Oh...Thats neat...And, I'm a silk wing!"
I said happily, spreading my four wings. He eyed them in awe.
"Wooahhh...Thats awesome...I've seen dragons that look just like you...Many different colours however..."
He analysed my wings, then his gaze landed on my eyes.
"Y-yeahh..."
His yellow eyes prickled something along my scales. Yet again, I hated the sudden feeling.

Then, my antennae detected something. A storm.
"Uhh, Plankton..."
My tone was soft. He looked at me, awaiting my word.
"A storm is heading this way...I'd say we find shelter..."
I glanced at him. His eyes narrowed as he looked above. I did too. The before white clouds were grey. Covering the sun.
"I agree...I know a spot near here! Follow me Maroon!"
Even though he said follow me he still grabbed my talon and dragged me along with him. The same feeling, that small stab feeling within my stomach. Why him? Whys this happening with him... I questioned my own self.
He led us to a small cave. It was deep enough for rain to not reach us.
"Oh wow...Not a bad spot..."
I looked around, noticing faint cave drawings.
"Yep! Me and my friends hide out here when storms happened...We refused to head back to the sea kingdom..."
He chuckled to himself, leaning against the wall as he laid down. I sat not too far from him. My tail curled to my front talons.
Then, I heard the crash of thunder from outside. It made me jump, but then I felt something brush my back. It made me steady, I looked back. His wing rested against my back, holding me steady.
"You okay?"
He asked, genuinely sounding worried. I felt my face turn hot.
"~Yep~"
I managed to say.

We stayed silent from then. In the corner of my eye I spotted him edge closer to me. I did the same. Much more hesitant however.
"Hey...I saw that!"
He said jokingly, standing up as he looked at me. At first I panicked, but then I realised he was joking. I laughed along with him. We both stared deeply into one another's eyes.
Then he came by and sat next to me. Our shoulders brushing against one another. It still felt strange, but right too.
"Its nice hearing rain while your actually not in it..."
Plankton remarked, looking at me.
"Agreed..."
I replied, looking at the cave entrance, watching the rain pour. He intertwined our tails. I didn't move nor budge, I preferred our tails like that really. It made me feel safe...
We sat there for a while, waiting for the storm to stop...I didn't care how long it took however. I had him. I was fine...
