"Bye Lydia, see you tomorrow!" I said and closed the door.

Lydia had texted me to do some homework together. At first, I didn't know why she wanted to do homework with me, because. I would be slowing her down and I know she hated that. I mean, Lydia's the smartest girl I've ever met, so why did she want it? When I got to her house, she opened the door with smeared make-up and tears in her eyes. Later that evening, she told me Jackson broke up with her. I shoved our homework to the side and comforted her. Lydia's like a sister to me, so seeing her like this broke my heart. I knew there was something wrong with that guy. I cheered her up with lots of ice-cream and The Notebook, which was her favorite movie. In the end, she told me she was feeling a little better.
It was pretty dark outside. Only a few lamp posts were turned on. They were no cars driving, instead, there was a cat walking on the road. I looked on my phone and saw it was almost 11. "Shit" I muttered under my breath. My mom wanted me to be back home before 10 because my brother Scott was coming home from camping. I ran a hand through my hair and fastened my pace. I'm so getting in trouble.

As I kept thinking about what punishment I would get, I saw something moving in the corner of my eye. when I looked in that direction, nothing was there. "You're probably just seeing things because you're tired." I said to myself. I turned my head again and there it was, the thing I saw before. The creature looked like a lizard. It was covered in scales, had a tail and long claws. I moved backward as the creature walked in my direction. Thanks to a log, I stumbled backward, falling on the ground. Screams were leaving my throat as I crawled away from the animal.
I heard a growl and looked to see who it was. It was Isaac. He growled even louder and the creature ran away. I sighed out of relief and stood up, running towards Isaac. He had already opened his arms and I wrapped my arms around his torso. It didn't take long or I was sobbing against his shoulder and shaking like a chihuahua. "Shh, you're safe with me alissa, you're safe." Isaac whispered in my ear as he brushed his fingers through my hair. "I- I thought it was going to k-kill me." I tried to say between sobs.
I didn't know Isaac that long, but the first time I met him, I felt this bond. I immediately knew I could trust him and I think he knew it as well. A lot of people think we're a couple. But Isaac's more like a brother to me.
"Do you want me to bring you home?" Isaac asked after a couple minutes. I shook my head against his collarbone. "yes, please" I say. Scott opened the door (Scott's my brother) and gave Isaac a confused and worried look. "she saw the Kanima." Isaac said and brought me upstairs to My room. He laid me down on My bed and pulled the covers over my body. I curled myself into a ball and tried to fall asleep. Isaac sat down in my chair closest to my bed.

Half an hour later, I still wasnt asleep. I sat up against the headboard and rubbed my eyes. "Isaac?" I whispered. He had fallen asleep in my chair right after he placed his butt on it. "Isaac" I said a little louder. Still no answer. "Isaac!" I yelled this time and he jumped out of his chair. His claws were out and his eyes were glowing a golden color. When he say I was still in my bed, he shifted back and sighed. "Alissa, you scared the Shit out of
Me." "I'm sorry...." I pouted and crossed my arms in front of my chest. He walked over to My bed and sat down on the side. "Hey, you're safe. I am here and so if Scott, so nothing can happen to you, you're also a werewolf anyways and Scott's your brother." He said as he grabbed my hands. "I know this creature's gone, but I cant seem to fall asleep......" I knew he wanted to say something. And he did.

"Do you want me to lie down next to you?" I immediately nodded and shifted so he could lie down. As I wrapped my arms around his body, he pecked my forehead and began brushing his fingers through my hair again. "I like it when you do that." I mumbled against his chest. "Then I won't stop until you're sleeping." His head was resting on top of mine, whispering sweet nothings. Not long after, my eyelids felt heavy and fell asleep in Isaac's arms.
