The day was quite on the local beach front and all that could be heard was the waves crashing against the shores as a group of men waited along it's shore, there was one man standing alone ahead of them as if he was waiting for someone as another came walking towards him and stopping slightly behind him

????: Sir, we've been waiting for days, are you sure she'll even come back

The man turned around sporting a black eye patch looking as he has lost someone important

????: She'll be here soon, She won't want to leave without saying goodbye

Suddenly a small ship slowly descended on to the beach and landed softly, the man slowly walked up to the ship as if this was what he was waiting for and the ramp lowered to reveal a woman holding a baby and looking like she was holding back tears

????: Fury....

Fury: Carol....

They closed the gap between them until they were only inches apart and both looked down at the small baby that was in Carol's arms

Fury: I'm glad you found him

Carol looked at Fury for a second before looking back down at the child in her arms holding a small smile but pain in her heart

Carol: I couldn't lose him and his father, but at the same time it still feels like it

Fury gave Carol a confused look

Fury: But you do have him

Carol's eyes started to tear up as she looked at Fury and slowly started to hand him over her baby, Fury carefully holds him as Carol tried to find the words

Carol: They'll keep coming if he's with me, you're the only one I can trust to keep him safe

Fury: I'm no parent, I can't care for him, why not your friend Rambeau? She's a mother

Carol: They'll target her first, I can't put her and Monica in danger, Please Nick, I know you'll do what's right for him

He stood there trying to understand the situation but already knew it, he nodded his head and held the boy softly in his arms

Fury: I'll keep him safe, he'll have questions when his older you know that right

Carol smiled

Carol: Then tell him the truth, Who he is, where he's from, He's going to be like a Nova in the stars when he's older, I can feel it

Carol stepped up to her children one more time and gave him a kiss goodbye as tears fell from her face and gently whispered in his ear

Carol: Goodbye my little Y/n my little Supernova, I want you to be strong for me, Mommy and daddy love you, I'll see you one day, I promise

She struggles to step away as tears flow down her face as she dragged her feet through the soft sand as the waves continue to crash against her ship and the sandy shore, Fury watched on as she stepped onto her ship continuing to look back at her son knowing it could be the last time in a very long time before she sees him again, she should watching as the ramp slowly closed trying to hold back the need to return but once the ramp closed shut the ship slowly raised into the air spraying sea water

Fury watched as the ship slowly raised and headed straight for the upper atmosphere disappearing from plain sight for the final time, Fury let out a sigh as he turned to one of the men behind him

Fury: Coulson, see what we can do to make this fine boy more comfortable, I need to make a few calls

Coulson: Yes sir

Coulson left for the vehicles behind them as Fury continued to look at the small baby that was still in his arms, thinking about where his forever home could be but one thing he did know, Y/n was going to be in safe hands under his careful watch knowing he's just going to be just like his parents, a hero
