Her pov:

I turned around to see the shooter. Zara. The ache in my belly was getting unbearable and I was struggling to breathe hence I fell down on the ground. "W-why?" I managed to blurt.

"Because you ruined me Aarohi. You ruined everything I had ever built. You took away everything I wanted. We were in the same class yet you got selected to be in the crime branch. I wanted to test you. To make you feel helpless. Exactly what I felt when I realised you took away my career, my passion not to mention you took away the only guy I ever liked. You were somehow always better than me. That made me hate you. I don't regret shooting you. I never will. You deserved it you bitch-"

Before she could fire another shot, I see Reyansh barging in with the police and the officers of the crime branch. I see him running towards me. Soon enough i fall into complete darkness.

His pov:

As soon as I saw aarohi punching the man on the video call, I grabbed mahavir Roy by the collar and pushed him on the ground. Before I could do anything, the police i had called beforehand, came rushing in and arrested the man. I ran towards the Bunglow besides his to rescue my woman and the others that were present there. Just as i was nearing the gate, i heard a gunshot. I sprinted forward and opened the door only to see Aarohi laying in a pool of blood. Terror. Horror. Fear. Clogged my brain. I asked the lady officers to arrest Zara and then
made my way towards aarohi. I took her little face in my hands and started calling out her name. We needed her to keep her eyes open. The bullet had hit her abdomen but had managed to only tear through a couple of her skin layers.

"Hey, officer, open your eyes. Please. Come on."

I pleaded but she wouldn't budge. Arjun dropped on his knees beside me and informed me about the arrival of the ambulance and then asked me to carry aarohi to the same. Without wasting any more time, I picked her up in my arms and ran towards the ambulance. Putting her inside i whispered in her ears,

"Officer, you have got to wake up. Please. We need you at the bureau."

Pressing a kiss on her forehead, I left the ambulance and went to oversee the other victims. We managed to rescue them all and then headed towards the bureau with the culprits.
It was the time for some serious confession.
