5 More chapters and an Epilogue! I would be really happy if you comment. Publishing chapters without any feed back on the previous ones gets really tough and disappointing. Even if you are not liking it, just comment it... I would love any kind of feedback! This is almost 7th update in past 4days.

As Abhimanyu's car eased into the compound, he spotted a sight that both surprised and delighted him. There, on the lawn, was Akshara, his wife, sitting amidst a scattering of assignments, laughing to herself. It was a rare spectacle. But knowing his wife, she might have got lost her dream world with assignments Infront of her. The perplexity on his face transformed into a smile. And the fact that she didn't even look up with the car sound intrigued him to join her dream world.

Parking the car near the lawn, he handed the keys to the waiting security guards, sparing himself the usual chore of putting it in the garage. With slow and cautious steps, Abhimanyu approached Akshara, the curiosity evident in his eyes.

He sat beside her, but she was still lost in her world, engrossed in the newfound camaraderie with her assignments. Abhimanyu, unable to resist adding a playful touch to the moment, leaned toward her left ear and blew a gentle stream of air. Akshara jumped in her seat, a delightful yelp escaping her lips as she turned to face him.

She hit him gently " You scared me, Abhi!! "

He chuckled, wrapping an arm around her shoulders " Kaha khoyi hui ho biwi sahiba? "

Akshara with mischief leaned forward and whispered in Abhimanyu's ear, "In the fascinating world of assignments. It's a thrilling adventure, you know."

Abhimanyu raised an eyebrow, playing along "Oh I can see that. Tum jaise kho gayi thi, lag raha hai jaise tumne koi chhupa hua khazana dhundh liya ho."

Akshara laughed leaning into his embrace " Well, these assignments do hold the key to academic treasures, Abhimanyu Birla. You should try it sometime."

Abhimanyu pretended to shudder in fear "No, Thank you. I'll leave it to you. I would rather stick to more exciting adventures, like..."

Abhimanyu pretended to think. And Akshara pulled back looking at him.

Abhimanyu looked at his wife " Yeah.. Like dealing with UNRULY STUDENTS!!"

Akshara tilted her face and raised an eyebrow " Speaking of which, any particularly notorious student giving you a hard time? "

Abhimanyu adopted a mock serious expression "Oh, you have no idea! Ek student hai... I am telling you, she is a pain in the wrong place!"

Akshara's eyes widened and looked at her husband while he gave her a lopsided smile. She got up with her hands on her hips " What did you just say? "

Abhimanyu shrugged with a not so innocent smile.

Akshara's glare intensified, and without a word, she swiftly moved towards the garden hose. Abhimanyu, realizing the impending danger, got up in shock and tried to do some damage control. "Akshara... Nahi! Dekho assignment papers hai yaha pe. Acha nahi hoga..."

Akshara smirked, clearly not buying his attempt to divert her. With a mischievous glint in her eyes, she aimed the hose at him, a teasing smile playing on her lips.

Abhimanyu, caught off guard, raised his hands in surrender. "Akshara, seriously, don't. You won't like the consequences. Sardi bhi lag jayegi baby! let's not turn this beautiful evening into a battleground."

But Akshara, fueled by a newfound sense of rebellion, continued her advance. "Oh no, Professor Birla. You can't escape that easily. A pain in the wrong place, am I?"

With a sudden twist of her wrist, Akshara unleashed a gentle spray of water in Abhimanyu's direction. He let out a surprised yelp, his carefully crafted composure momentarily shattered.

The tables turned, and now Abhimanyu found himself on the receiving end of Akshara's playful vengeance. The evening echoed with laughter and the rhythmic patter of water droplets.

As Abhimanyu attempted to dodge the playful onslaught, he couldn't help but admire the carefree spirit of the woman before him. Akshara, now thoroughly enjoying her retaliation, wore a radiant smile, her eyes sparkling with pure joy.

In the midst of the water fight, a subtle shift occurred. Laughter turned into stolen glances, and playful banter transformed into a charged atmosphere. The cool water became a metaphor for the shared energy that danced between them, an unspoken invitation to delve into the depths of intimacy.

Abhimanyu, surrendering to the moment, took a step closer to Akshara. The hose slipped from her hands, forgotten on the damp grass. Their gaze locked, the world around them faded, leaving only the two of them in a bubble of shared anticipation.

A droplet of water traced a path down Akshara's cheek, and Abhimanyu, unable to resist, reached out to gently wipe it away. Akshara shuddered at his touch but couldn't move an inch. He held her captive with those mere eyes.

The garden hose, now abandoned, continued to spray a gentle mist around them, creating an ethereal backdrop to the unspoken connection that unfolded beneath the evening sky.

Abhimanyu and Akshara were about to lean into a kiss, their lips almost touching, the world around them fading away.

Just as the moment reached its crescendo, Abhimanyu abruptly pulled back, concern etched all over his face.

"Atharv kaha hai?" he asked, his eyes searching the surroundings.

Akshara blinked, momentarily disoriented as she tried to bring her focus back to the present. "Oh! Atharv, Vo apne dost ke sath bahar gaya hai."

Abhimanyu's expression tightened at the mention of Atharv being with friends. "Kaunsa Dost?" His voice held a note of suspicion that didn't escape Akshara's notice.

Frowning at Abhimanyu's unusual behavior, Akshara asked, "Kya hua Abhi? Anything wrong?"

His hesitation was evident as he shook his head, but Akshara wasn't willing to let it slide. "ABHI!"

A sigh escaped Abhimanyu, and he finally spoke, "The boy is behaving weird these days, Akshara. I guess he is with the wrong company."

Akshara's expression shifted from momentary confusion to a deep concern as she absorbed Abhimanyu's words. She took a step closer, a mix of worry and curiosity in her eyes.

"Wrong company? Kya matlab hai tumara, Abhi?" she asked, her voice laced with concern.

Abhimanyu hesitated for a moment, choosing his words carefully. "I've noticed some changes in Atharv's behavior lately, Akshara. He's been distant, and I overheard him talking on the phone about some plans that didn't sound right."

Akshara's eyes widened with realization, and a knot formed in her stomach. "Plans? Kaisa plans, Abhi?"

Abhimanyu ran a hand through his hair, a gesture of frustration. "I don't know, Akshara. He's just not the same cheerful and open Atharv we know. I tried talking to him, but he's avoiding the conversation. Tumne observe nahi kiya?"

Akshara nodded, deep in her thoughts. The boy was not behaving like their boy since a very long time.

Abhimanyu spoke "I'm worried he might be getting influenced by the wrong crowd."
