On Friday night, Lucian and Griffin picked Fallon up before they went to Joelle’s house. They came in Griffin’s truck, which meant Fallon and Lucian got the back seat to themselves. It was a little weird since Lucian usually drove them everywhere, but it made sense for Griffin to drive since this was his date. While Griffin sauntered to the front door to retrieve her, they waited in the truck.

“Did I already tell you how hot you look?” Lucian asked.

Fallon smiled at him. “Maybe, but you can tell me again if you want.”

“You look really hot,” Lucian obliged as he ran the back of his hand down her cheek.

“So do you,” Fallon murmured.

With their seatbelts still fastened they turned their heads toward each other. Just as their lips and tongues came together for a scorching kiss, the front doors of the truck opened.

“Can’t you guys make out in your truck, Loosh? I don’t want body fluids in my truck if you know what I mean,” Griffin joked.

            “Fuck you, Griff,” Lucian retorted.

“Some other time,” Griffin laughed as he started the truck and pulled away from the curb.

“Do you guys always talk to each other like this?” Joelle asked.

“Always,” Lucian and Griffin answered in stereo.

Joelle giggled. “That was cool. Do you like finish each other’s sentences and read each other’s minds too?”

“Sometimes,” the twins answered, and Joelle giggled harder.

For their date, they went to the Pizza Place. That was fine with Fallon since pizza was one of her favorite foods. Griffin paid for everyone’s dinner, not that it made a difference. The money he had was the same money Lucian had, but Joelle didn’t seem to get that. Either that or she was trying too hard to impress him. She couldn’t stop gushing about how great it was for him to buy dinner for everyone, which Griffin didn’t have any trouble accepting praise for. After they got their drinks and staked out a table, Joelle announced that she needed to use the bathroom. From the pointed way she looked in Fallon’s direction, Fallon knew what she wanted.

“I guess we’ll be back,” Fallon told Lucian as she slid out of the booth and followed Joelle to the ladies’ room.

As long as she was there, Fallon figured she might as well pee too. The girls stepped in and then out of side by side stalls at the same time. After they washed and dried their hands, Joelle pulled a hairbrush from her purse and began running it through her endless mane.

We’re gonna be here forever, Fallon thought.

“I still can’t believe I’m actually on a date with Griffin Locke. I’ve had the biggest crush on him all year.”

“I don’t see why. He’s not that great.”

Joelle drew her eyebrows together. “What do you mean? He looks just like your boyfriend. I don’t even know how you can tell them apart. Like, how do you know you’re not with Griffin right now instead of Lucian?”

Fallon grimaced at the thought. “Believe me, when you get to know them you’ll totally be able to tell them apart.”

Finally Joelle returned her hairbrush to her purse, and they exited the bathroom. As soon as Fallon dropped into the booth, she frowned to see Lucian sitting in the opposite seat and wearing Griffin’s shirt. Fallon cut a narrow eyed gaze to her left and realized she was sitting beside Griffin who had on the shirt Lucian had been wearing just moments ago.
