Chapter 10 - Walking home

Thank god. Another Mondays out the way. I think to myself as I walk down the long school drive, attemepting to untangle my headphones. Novembers a good month don't get me wrong but sometimes I just wish December would come round sooner. I adore Christmas. Its 10000% my favourite celebration but right now the drizzly cold Ireland weather seems pretty far off the snow that I wish was a more common occurance. My random thoughts are interrupted off by the sound of a shout from behind me.."Delilah!" Josh shouts a few meters away from me, accompanied by Rob. Its week 2 so it's my only day of the 2 weeks without a geography lesson, an I guess we'd just missed eachother in the corridoors today, shame really because it would be nice to talk about the other day. Eek!
"Hey you guys" I say "How are you both?"
"Pretty good thanks D." Josh says.
"Yeah not bad" Says Rob a slight smile on his face.  "Just had to sit through an hour of personal development though I mean what do they expect to learn from that shit. At least it's done I guess." Rob grumbles.
"Hah. PDs never enjoyable mine and Josh's form hate it" I respond...
"..Oh yeah don't even get me started on last lesson with Sir blabbing on about how to deal with stress. I mean hello this place is the cause." Josh complains. We walk along together, Josh leaves partly through the walk home to go to the gym. Leaving me and Rob. Just the 2 of us.

"Soo Lils, nice weekend?" Rob says grinning.
"Yeah alright don't really remember what I got up to if I'm honest.." I reply sarcastically
"Thats weird, me neither." Rob joins in
"Nothing particularly out of the ordinary happened.." I continue
"Same here.." He carrys on "Although I do vaguely remember kissing this girl, couldn't tell you who though, wait no maybe it was a dream."
"Strange. Was it a good kiss?" I question.
"Oh yeah totally. She was pretty aswell" He says. "Oh really" I giggle.
"Would do it again some time if I could.."Rob says. "You wish" I wink and jokingly start speeding ahead. "Your gonna have to walk a lot quicker than that." Rob shouts, soon grabbing my hand from behind and pulling me in. He cups my chin lightly and leans in, I close my eyes and we make out. A swam of butterflys forming in my stomach. We both pull away.
"Yeah still a good kisser." Rob says with a proud smile, he then coninues walking. "C'mon its freezing out here!" He laughs, I speed walk to catch up.

We continue to chat about whatever and Rob asks "What are you doing Friday?"
"Hmm let me think..oh yeah i've got this thing called sixth form."
"Shut up" Rob says "Friday night I mean, you free?" "Yeaa" i smirk up at him.
"Ok so we should hang out, the two of us, go somewhere."
"Okay got anyhwere in mind?" I ask smiling
"I don't know maybe... pizza express?" Rob asks "Yess pizza express is so good" I respond
"Cool. So it's a date.." He says.
"Yup you better be wearing something pretty" I say to him
"Oh I will be don't worry about it" He laughs.

When I get home I straight away ring the group chat. "Guessss whos got a date this friday!!?"
"Ahhh Rob asked you outttt!" Meg says
"Tell us all the details!!" Avery says. We stay on call for ages chatting about Friday. My friends are all so excited it's my first proper date, most of them have been on a few before so are kinda pros, but this is all new for me, and I can't wait!
