Her father used to work on the boat catching whatever they could find while her mother was a healer. In other words, they were pretty well off for a working-class family.
Oritel Delacour née Highbottom was once a part of a well-known family. The Heir to the Highbottom fortune would someday rise in the ranks just like Augustus Highbottom. Except that wasn't the case when he married a girl from District 4 under his occupation as a Lieutenant for the Capitol. Even if she was a part of a Career District it didn't matter to Sr. Longbottom. His perfect son, his firstborn child had disgraced the family. However, he didn't condemn hatred of his beloved granddaughter Persephone "Sephie" Highbottom. Because she was born in the Capitol ( like Augustus demanded ) she was considered Captiol and was mostly of Oritel with all his features and looks.
