A Twist In Time?

CHAPTER 7

--IN THE KINGDOM OF NIGHTSPIRE--

--BEFORE DAWN--

The four girls decided to wait at Min-young's house which was the closest to the palace..
It was early in the morning, Min-young had just woken up when she heard a knock on her door. She walked lazily to the door and opened it, and saw her friends, all ready and had their weapons.. She realized they had to report in front of the palace gates to meet General Kim..

"Oh hey Good morning guys!"

She said, chuckling nervously and opened the door fully.. The girls stepped in and Hye-ri said

"You're not ready yet? We need to leave soon"

Min-young nodded, ruffling her hair.

"Yeah give me a few minutes I'll be ready"

She ran to take a bath and wore her clothes.. She ran to her shelf and got her claws, daggers and sword.. She brushed her hair and went out. She saw Ha-yoon rummaging around for something.

"What are you looking for?"

She went over, grabbing a glass of water and drinking it, Ha-yoon hummed and stood straight,

"Where do you keep your food?"

Min-young finished drinking her water and kept the glass down, looking at Ha-yoon and she said,

"I need to buy some food, I ran out yesterday"

She laughed, making Ha-yoon roll her eyes and chuckle.. Hyun-bae came over and said

"Shall we leave? If we leave now we'll be on time"

The two nodded and they set out to the palace gates on horses.. 

--AT THE PALACE GATES--

They reached and the Sun was rising, painting the sky in beautiful colors of red and orange.. 
The girls waited a few minutes outside the gate when it opened and revealed a tall man with caramel skin and messy hair, with General Kim.. They walked up to the four girls and the man smiled,

"Hello ladies! I'm Kim Myung-dae"

He bowed at them, which they returned. General Kim stood there with his stoic face and then he cleared his throat, getting their attention..

"Kim Myung-dae is my cousin, he will be escorting you to the queen"

"I'll just get my horse and we can leave"

Myung-dae smiled and jogged to the stable while General Kim walked away with a few soldiers and scouts.. As the girls were waiting, Min-young spoke up,

"That Myung-dae guy is so hot"

She chuckled, looking at her friends

"He is.."

Hyun-bae said, laughing a little.. Just then Myung-dae came on an elegant black horse. He smiled and said

"Follow me ladies"

He galloped ahead, and the four friends followed closely..

The palace was beautiful to look at, nothing out of the ordinary, it had many gardens before the entrance and even more on the inside.. Pathways made and carpeted with flowers of shades of red, pink, yellow, orange and so on.. On the other side there were rose and hibiscus bushes and a few meters behind them, cherry blossom trees lined up, all blooming with beautiful pastel colored flowers, making it a beautiful scenery to look at.. Many fountains, big and small, all brimming with crystal like water, and the sun making it shine like diamonds were placed here and there.. Instead of gargoyle statues, there were small figurines of elegant white and beige colors. Each statue was a different animal, and below them was ancient Korean writing.. 

The girls stared at this beautiful yet sophisticated place in awe, not able to speak a word.. Myung-dae noticed it and chuckled, and pointed to the animal statues and said

"All those figurines are the animals that the ruler admired, that's why they have written the ruler's name under the animal and the reason why they admired it.."

The girls were still in awe and nodded to what he said.. They finally reached the main castle and got down from their horses.. Myung-dae led them inside.. They followed and saw that the castle on the inside was as beautiful as it was outside.. Ha-yoon whispered,

"This place is themed aesthetic"

The girls nodded, agreeing to her.. Myung-dae then stopped and turned around, 

"Just go straight and turn right.. You'll see only one room and that's the queen's room. Men are not allowed inside"

He chuckled. Min-young stepped up and said with a smile too,

"Thankyou Myung-dae! Let's meet up often"

Myung-dae slightly widened his eyes, and said shyly

"Sure!"

He shook her hand and went away. 
Well all through the way, Min-young kept glancing at Myung-dae which didn't go unnoticed by him.. No wonder he was shy..

--IN THE FOREST--

--Him-chan's village--

Eun-cha was sleeping, when she heard a bang. She woke up, and tried getting up when she realized they chained her to the pole. She growled, using her venom to try burning or melting it, or even weakening it so she could break out of it..

"It's venom-resistant"

A voice called out, chuckling.. He stepped out of the shadows and it was Him-chan.. He walked over to her, kneeling down

"Did you think I'd not know you'd try to break free from that?"

He asked, with a smirk on his face. Eun-cha looked at him in the eye and said

"You seem pretty stupid, that's why I tried it"

She laughed, taunting him.. His smirk wiped off, replaced with irritation. He slapped Eun-cha across her face. She spat out the blood and laughed more..

"Sensitive bitch, can't even take the truth"

Him-chan scoffed and kicked her in the stomach. Eun-cha hissed and chuckled.. She froze when she saw something on Him-chan's shoulder.. It was a..
