"Cinth, is that... Lorenzo?" Celine whispered, her eyes widening in disbelief. I nodded, equally shocked. "Yes, it's him. I didn't expect him to be here, especially after... what happened." Lorenzo's eyes met ours, and his expression held a mixture of surprise and a hint of relief. as if He hadn't expected to see familiar faces in this high-stakes environment.

Lorenzo, still visibly uncomfortable, approached and greeted us, "Cinth, what are you doing here? I didn't think you'd be caught up in all of this.", "Lorenzo, I must say, it's quite unexpected to see you here," I remarked, my words laced with curiosity.

Lorenzo's response was icy, his voice tinged with disdain. "The feeling is mutual," he replied, his gaze flickering towards Celine and me. His disapproval of our presence was palpable. Celine chimed in, her tone polite but insistent. "Indeed, we were just wondering about what brings you here, in this condition"

Lorenzo's lips curled into a bitter smile as he regarded us. "Well, you see, circumstances change," he replied cryptically, refusing to offer any further explanation. It was clear that he harbored a deep-seated resentment towards us, and his words were laced with hostility., "Now tell me, what does bring you both here?"

Celine exchanged a glance with me before responding, "Well, the thing is.. your father kind of invited us". Lorenzo's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "My father invited you? That's...unexpected from him", I couldn't help but express my shock as well. "Yeah, it was quite a shock for us too. We had no idea what we were walking into when we accepted the invitation.", "Well, now that you know,.." Lorenzo leaned in, "Never accept any kind of invitation my father gives from now on" he whispered, a smirk forming on the side of his lips

I couldn't help but roll my eyes, a heavy sigh escaping me. I averted my gaze, hoping to leave that unsettling conversation behind. Just then, Louis appeared out of nowhere, clearly concerned about Lorenzo's well-being.

"Enzo, I swear, just a day ago, you were fighting for your life. What on earth are you doing here? Are you sure you should be?" Louis questioned, worry etched on his face. I chimed in, sharing Louis's concern, "Yeah, seriously, Enzo, you should be resting. Are you okay?" I asked, my concern evident in my voice. Lorenzo glanced at us, his eyes briefly meeting mine. His response was calm, even detached, as he said, "Calm down, both of you. I'm fine."

Louis let out a chuckle, a hint of teasing in his voice. "Oh, of course, you're perfectly fine. That's why you're wincing in pain right now, right?" Lorenzo clenched his fists and playfully punched Louis on the shoulder. "You're really pushing it, aren't you? Get out of my face."

I and celine chuckled, while Louis raised his hands defensively. "Alright, alright. But seriously, what are you doing here, and in this condition?" Louis asked, gesturing toward Lorenzo from head to toe with a hint of sarcasm. "I'm here because of certain family obligations. The party is of no particular interest to me." There was an air of finality in his words, a clear indication that he didn't want to delve into the matter.

Undeterred, I pressed on, my curiosity drove me forward. "Family obligations?" I repeated, trying to get a better understanding. "something wrong?" Celine added, her voice gentle but inquisitive. Lorenzo's jaw tensed for a moment, his expression briefly clouded. "There are always matters to attend to within the family, now if you could mind your own business I'd be happy," he replied, his tone evasive. It was clear that he didn't want to reveal more than necessary.
