"i've been having a hard time adjusting/i had the shiniest wheels, now they're rusting ....... i was so ahead of the curve, the curve became became a sphere/fell behind all my classmates and i ended up here."

↳  growing up, elementary to middle school, i never rlly had to try. i feel like i kinda just knew things? one moment i'll never forget is being tested on my reading comprehension/spelling in 3rd or 4th grade. i knew a 5th grade level word, "cigarette! i know that word 'cause my mom smokes those!" so, because i just knew things, i never saw the point in studying or note-taking, and i never learned how. which made high school a lot harder than normal, because i suddenly don't know anything. now imagine that x10 when i hit college. except in college, peak COVID, there was no teacher there every single day to remind me of assignments, help me if i needed, and god forbid i look to the internet for help. so i dropped out. after half a semester. and now i work at a gas station.

"they told me all of my cages were mental/so i got wasted like all my potential/and my words shoot to kill when i'm mad/i have a lot of regrets about that"
