as kids,
we play games.
games where we identify and categorize ourselves,
as different animals or even
people.
we play that role for a while,
and it's fun, sure.
but then suddenly we wanna
c h a n g e.
so we tell everyone who's playing,
"hey guys, i don't wanna be a cat anymore, i wanna be a frog."
everyone's so okay with that.
but then,
we grow up.
and those rules don't apply to this
new game
anymore.
the same kid tells their friends,
"hey guys, i don't feel like a guy, and i wanna be a girl."
suddenly, it's a big fucking deal.
