Vacation All We Ever Wanted (Part 1)

-Chapter 9-

-Shadow's Pov-

I can't let anyone know that I like her, I just can't. Sonic would have a field trip with this, anyway, after everyone was up and dressed etc, we all decided we'd go on a nature walk...gross nature!

As I headed to the kitchen I saw Rose, Rose wore a beautiful yellow dress with a red bow, her hair was down, she carried a basket since Cream wanted to pick some berries for a pie she was making that night, Amy's fringe was across the right side of her head,

Me on the other hand, I had my black skinny jeans on with a white button up shirt (kinda like my school uniform) I had my red and black leather jacket on too I have my red, white and black trainers on as well.
After going to the bathroom, I sorted out my quills and brushed my teeth, I felt weird using my toothbrush in fakers house but oh well.

"Come on everyone! We're going to be late for the nature park to be open!" Sonic shouted upstairs, his blue quills poked round the bathroom door,

"Shadow hurry up" he snapped, I growled and tried to shove the door closed with my foot, he grumbled but I managed to close it. Today is going to be a long day.

-Amy's Pov-
(Me: Ps we time skipped the year at school haha I had no ideas on what to do each day & I've left high school so why not!)

It was Sunday morning, bright sun, no clouds, breeze and a lovely sprinkling of flowers, we left High School on Friday...no High School for the rest of my life!
Shadow and I haven't come to a conclusion about our relationship...Um...Okay. We kissed, told each other we loved each other and we aren't even together! Like what the hell! Well...he is sort of a 'lone wolf' kind of guy.

Shadow stomped his way downstairs and stood near Rouge I saw him smile at her, he looked at me, up and down then smirked...Shit.

"We ready to go?" Sonic asked quickly,

"Yes!" I practically shouted as I made my way out of the door, Cream and Tails were holding hands together, they said it would help them "to not get lost" I chuckled at them quietly and kept walking, Sonic had his arm resting loosely on Sally's shoulders (forgot she actually stayed over she was that quiet!) Espio, Vector and Charmey were still asleep according to Knuckles, he had his arm round Rouge's waist.

Shadow had his hands stuffed in his pockets as he made his way down the path behind us, I was in the middle, between Tails and Cream and also Rouge and Knuckles:

"Shadow come on lighten up, at least out here you won't be abducted by aliens" Sonic laughed as he called back to him, Shadow growled but kept walking.

------When we get to the riverbank open area------

"Wow! Look at this place" Cream shouted as she ran to the slow moving river, pulling Tails behind,

"Can we go in?!" Tails shouted to Sonic

"Go ahead, we'll set up the picnic I packed" he shouted back, Sally held out the hamper and Sonic placed it on the floor, he spread the blanket out, then the plates, forks etc then the food, he left the bottled drinks in the hamper.

"Come and eat" he smiled gesturing to the food spread, everyone sat around it and started eating, I looked around and saw a figure leaning on the tree just a little way from the picnic.

"Shadow?" I whispered as I came near him, he rose his head and looked at me, his crimson eyes were cold but as soon as his eyes met mine, the coldness faded. I wrapped my arms around him, his left arm (closet to the picnic) stayed by his side but his right hand found it's way to my head, I held him close and put my head on his shoulder,

"Who knew I'd meet someone like you" he mumbled, his rough voice spoke against my ear,

"I met you on a school bus, you asked me if I liked what I saw, you gave me a hickey when I spied on you and Espio, you even confessed you liked me" I laughed a little,

"Hm, some people do make cold hearted people change I guess" he smiled and wrapped both of his arms round me, I felt happy for a second until...

"SHADOW'S GETTING STUCK IN!" Sonic screamed, Shadow's arms let me go suddenly as he growled lowly, his white fang showing, Sonic shrugged his shoulders and smiled crookedly,

"Urgh! Faker!" Shadow bellowed as he took off, Sonic jumped into action and ran out of the way,

"I'll get you for that!" Shadow repeatedly screamed as he chased Sonic towards the river,

"EEP!" Was all I heard next then a rather loud SPLASH!

"Ahh help I can't swim!" Sonic cried as he splashed in the knee high depth of water, we all stared at him,

"Pfft Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!" Knuckles laughed, I had to stop myself from giggling, everyone was laughing, well except Sonic of course

"Stop laughing! I'm going to drown!" He cried,

"Aw Sonic d-do you need h-help?" Sally asked trying not to laugh herself, Sonic's ears went flat as he sat there, he took Sally's hand and she pulled him out of the water, by this time, Shadow, Knuckles, Rouge and I were in fits of giggles, Tails and Cream weren't paying attention to the situation, they were having their own conversation.

-A few hours later-

-Shadow's Pov-

Faker had dried out, Tails and Cream had gone back to Cream's since Vanilla wanted her home, Rouge and Knuckles had gone too, Sally and Faker were sat together by the banking talking and Rose was in the shade, I was sat up the tree she was sat under,

"Rose?" I asked

"Hm"

"Come sit up here...the view is good" I didn't want to seem like I was flirting or anything, I held my hand down to her as she stood up, she took it steadily,

"Now put your foot on that step there" I pointed out with my other hand,

"This one?" She asked as she put her foot on it,

"Yeah...that one, now jump up, I got you don't worry" I held her hand tighter as she jumped onto the branch I was on,

"Wow" she breathed,

"Yeah" I said as I looked at her, she didn't notice,

"I can't believe how beautiful it is"

"Me either" I pulled her closer as she laid her head on my white chest fur,

"Shadow?"

"Hm?"

"Why is your heart beating so fast?" She asked,

"Huh?" I asked surprised by the sudden question fired, I looked at her, my eyes wide,

"Your heart...it's beating fast" she said again but in a whisper...without thinking I kissed her, cupping her cheek and supporting her back with my other hand.

"Mm! Okay" she breathed,

"Sorry, I had to" I smirked, she blushed bright red, I can't wait to see what trip we're going on next.
