Joint Dream

(Me: They're still in Paris btw! They haven't gone home yet haha & note this chapter is mainly from Shadow's Pov but it will suddenly switch from Shadow's to Amy's and back again, don't worry though I'll make it easy to know who's who :3)

-Chapter 11-

-Shadow's Pov-

There I was kissing thee girl I actually have fallen in love with, her skin so soft, her perfume is so strawberry sweet, her nose when she crinkles it, her ears that twitch when I say her name.

Wrapping my arms around her waist I pulled her closer to me, my tail wagged unconsciously, she breathed and wrapped her arms tighter round the back of my neck.

"Shadow?" She asked breathlessly,

"Hm?"

"My back is cold, I'm against a door" she mumbled shyly, I laughed and picked her up,

"Wa-wait where are we going?" She asked started by my sudden actions,

"Wait and see" I whispered in her ear, she blushed deeply and nodded, keeping her face to my chest fur.

Placing her lightly on my double bed I slowly released her legs from my grasp, I wrapped my now free hand round her back, she shivered a little as I laughed lightly,

"What um...are you uh...doing?" She asked into my shoulder,

"Well going to undress you, that's what I'm doing, why?" I asked moving to look at her,

"I-isn't it a little early in our relationship for that?" She blushed,

"Alight, when you're ready I'll make another move, I'll get you a shirt to wear, stay here okay?" I asked, removing my red t-shirt and throwing it into the wash basket in the corner of the room, I turned back to my suitcase and pulled out my "Ohio State" tank top, it was quite long anyway. (Me: if you're like me, I use either tank top or vest top but they're both the same for those who didn't know)

"Here, you can use this" I said whilst handing over the tank top, she nodded and slipped it on over her swimsuit, I looked at her confused, she held up her index finger and about 30 seconds later the top of her swimsuit was off, I was astonished, I couldn't see anything mind but I was surprised that girls could actually do that type of thing with their underwear and stuff.

I turned back to my suitcase still in shock, I fumbled around to find some shorts but it looked like I only packed one pair for sleeping in and my jeans...shit...

"Um Rose?" I asked keeping my eyes on my suitcase,

"Yeah?" She replied,

"Uh, I only packed a pair of shorts to sleep in...um well what I'm trying to say is that if you sleep in these I'll be in my boxers, if I sleep in these you'll be in you-" I couldn't even bring myself to say it...I was blushing so deeply my ears started to feel warm, urgh no!

"I'll get some from my room" she smiled and got up from the bed,

"I'll be back in a bit" she added and left,

"Well that could have been a disaster" the voices in my head told me,

"Shut up all of you. And please. No sexual thoughts of my girlfriend please." I argued back with my thoughts,

"I'm back" Amy said quietly, she had my top on and some of her short shorts on, she smiled and hugged me, I returned the hug and smiled, nothing could ruin today by far... Or so I thought.

-later when it's time for bed-

-Shadow's Pov (still)-

I pulled Rose close to me and wrapped my left arm around her head and my right arm around her waist, I managed to drop to sleep...

~Dream~

I slammed Sonic's limp body into the broken wall, ruins scattered around the area, my right arm bandaged from a bullet blow earlier. Sonic's eyes were cold, his face was expressionless, his heart no longer pumping, I heard a shuffle then a gasp.

"Shadow" I cried, "y-you've killed Sonic?" I started to walk backwards but tripped and fell to the floor, Shadow coming towards me slowly, his eyes burning with hatred.

"Get away from here!" I yelled,

"But Shadow you-" Amy whimpered,

"Now! Just get out of here and stay away from me!" I yelled at her, her ears were flat and she was cowering.

"Please, Shadow, you said you-"

"Chaos spear" I mumbled, a lightning bolt blade scone brightly in my right hand, my eyes burned hatred for her.

...

A piercing scream curled through my ears until silence...the lifeless body lay before me, my eyes blurry, I stumbled backwards and tried to run but the image just remained there, seeing her, the blood, my hands...her.

~End Dream~

"AMY!" I screamed,
*deep intake of breath and rapid panting* my eyes sprang open as I reached out infront of me, I was sweating and panting, my eyes were wet with tears,

"Shadow?" I heard coming from the doorway, I turned and saw Amy, alive and still beautiful, she had sweat beads on her forehead and her hands were shaking whilst holding two glasses of water,

"Rose, Rose, it's you" I managed, tears burning my eyes as I tried so hard not to cry, she put the glasses on the floor immediately and ran towards me, hugging me tightly,

"I was so scared...I-I thought I'd" I cried with a shaky breath,

"Me too, I had that dream too, I woke up after you'd done it" I was so scared to wake you up so I went to get some water, I was so scared Shadow, I was frightened you'd try to do it to me for real if I tried to wake you up" she cried harshly into my shoulder, I patted her hair and tightened my grip around her waist,

"Are you alright?" Espio asked running in, "I heard a noise" he added.

"Me" I mumbled into Rose's hair as I looked at him, tears still brimmed my eyes,

"That bad?" Espio asked as he handed me the glass of water, I nodded and sipped it, not letting go of my precious Rose,

"I'm sure we'll be okay..." Rose managed to speak up,

"Yeah, ponies and rainbows huh?" I asked stroking her hair,

"Defiantly"

"Alright you two, try and go back to sleep okay?" Espio yawned and wondered back to bed,

~Dream~

-Amy's Pov-

"Shadow look" I smiled, a lake ran across a field and sparkled like the sunlight, Shadow smiles and nodded,

"It's as beautiful as you Rose" he smiled and rubbed my cheek softly,

"I love you" he mumbled,

"I love you too" I smiled as I kissed his cheek and held his hand tightly.

"Don't worry, we'll get though this" I confirmed, Shadow nodded but was still unsure.

-in Shadow's Room-

-Normal Pov-

Shadow held Amy close to him, his legs entwined with Amy's, he couldn't lose her again, dream or no dream. Amy's hands were tightly holding Shadow's hands, her forehead resting on Shadow's lips very nearly touching, Shadow's light snores filled the quiet room, Amy's soft mumbling joined in.

"I love you" they both mumbled at the same time. Shadow moved his hand and wrapped it round her lower back, Amy didn't protest. Their dream was a lot different from the last one...not rainbows and ponies but more of a romantic stroll, lakeside and a quiet picnic. Shadow could live with that.
