3. MEETING LUCY

- Coryo! - Y/N screamed, running up to the boy after seeing him leaving the class - I was terrified. What did Dean Highbottom said?
- Was pissed of at me, as always - answered Coriolanus - But doctor Gaul was pleasantly suprissed. She told me to write down my ideas for Hunger Games
Y/N breathe a sigh of relief. She thought that they will drum him out of games. But know maybe he really gained not only Lucys trust but also some Capitol people hearts to support her later.
- Lets go eat something - said the boy - And lets collect some food for Lucy Gray. She said she was starving. She won't win when see will be emaciated, will she?
Y/N and Coriolanus walked into canten, sitting next to Sejanus.
- He was my classmate back in two, Marcus - started Sejanus - My dad did it on purpose. He wants to tell me that I can't come back
- Then stop complaining and do something to show him wrong - said Y/N
- Exactly - added Coriolanus, packing some of the sandwitches into tissues - Maybe pay him a visit. Me and Y/N are going to the ZOO after lunch, you may join us
Sejanus didn't seem to be satisfied with that answer but he started packing some food as well. Even Y/N gave Coriolanus some of her cookies to pack for Lucy. After all helping Lucy meant helping Coriolanus.

The trio were on their way to ZOO, when Coriolanus was called by Dean himself.
- Just wait here - said Coriolanus - It won't take long
He run up to the profesor.
- I was just wondering what are your future plan if you won't win the Plinth prize, Mr Snow? - asked Highbottom
- I will go to university, of course. My family will pay for tuition - asked the boy, little shooked
- We both know that Snows family is no longer well prospering, Mr Snow. With your old fathers shirt, trying to look like you are still in control. You may be a good actor, but the curtains will fall down sooner or later. And we both know - now Dean Highbottom looked at Y/N, who was talking with Sejanus few metters away - that her father won't be satisfied to have such no-counting son in law
They both went silent for a moment. Coriolanus knew about it exactly. But failing was never an option.
- I would like to warn you that cheating will be strictly punished. Remeber that.

Sejanus tried to persuade Marcus to talk to him, while Coriolanus talked to Lucy and feed her some food.
- Who is she? - asked Lucy, looking at Y/N who was standing few meters away
- That's Y/N - he answered a little awkward - She is my friend
Lucy looked at him suspiciously, then tourned to Y/N and waved. Y/N looked back to make sure that she was waving to her. Then she waved back. She was honestly feeling uncomforable. She still remebered the war and what people from Districts did to Capitol citizens. It was realy strange to her how could Coriolanus talked to Lucy so naturally. He turned back and call her by hand. Y/N went closer to the cage and fake a smile.
- Y/N this is Lucy - said Coriolanus - Lucy this is Y/N
- Pleasure to meet you - said Lucy offering her hand
Y/N took her hand reluctantly. It was almost disgusting for her to touch somebody like Lucy.
- I hope that you enjoy your visit in the Capitol - answered Y/N
- Yeah, as you can see the Capitol gives us all the best - Lucy laughted
But for Y/N that wasn't funny at all. Capitol gave them exactly what they deserved. Then Coriolanus started to talk about strategy, but he didn't have much time, since suddenly they heard a sound of breaking glass. Arachne Crade was lieing dying next to Y/N with broken glass bottle innher throat. People around screamed and run away. Coriolanus lean over her, but it was too late for any help she was already dead. Then he saw Y/N standing straight, almost paralized looking at the dead corpse of Arachne. He took her in his arms and moved her to the side at the same time that Peacekeepers shot Brandy, Arachnes killer. He took her face in his hands but her eyes were empty. He hugged her, kissing her forehead.
- It's okay - he said - Shh
After a while Y/N finally spoke.
- Promise me that you will never trust her - she said - Promise
- I promise - he answered
